American heiresses looking to secure English lords must be on their best behavior, but Violet has other plans. I,ve listened to ALL of the Molly series but this one is dull and boring. Never thought I would have to return a book from this series but couldn’t get into this one.

Disappointing
Revisado: 04-16-25
With so many awesome narrators out in Audiable land, why pick this one! I REALLY wanted to stick this out but the narrator is awful.
So I find I’ll have to hang up this series.

Way too wordy
Revisado: 09-01-24
Out of all the narrators in the world, they had to pick this one. It made the story so much more boring than it needed to be. And it just kept dragging on. I only stick it out because I heard it was supposed to be such a super book, but frankly it was just OK.I don’t even wanna pay to see the movie.

Not sure what the author had in mind. Was it a Lana Turner biography or a half told tale of her daughter? It was as if the author couldn’t decide between the two. Narrator was boring.

Wanted more!
Revisado: 03-28-24
I LOVE the Molly Murphy series but this recent book left me wanting more. The plot was tiresome and predictable. Characters were dull and boring. Almost seemed like the poor narrator had to dig deep to make it through the book. Wish I could recommend it.

Historia
I was so excited when Darcy announced out of the blue that we were flying to Kenya for our extended honeymoon. Now that we are here, I suspect he has actually been sent to fulfill another secret mission. I am trying very hard not to pick a fight about it, because after all, we are in paradise! Darcy finally confides that there have been robberies in London and Paris. It seems the thief was a member of the aristocracy and may have fled to Kenya. Since we are staying in the Happy Valley, we are well positioned to hunt for clues and ferret out possible suspects.

I really wanted to like this ok but Darcy, & Georgina’s mom are unrecognizable. No personality. Get another narrator soon. HATE how the Americans talk. They sound high. Just terrible.

Nice listen with a fair story. Enjoyed the book but wished it was thicker in substance. The end was thin and not well thought out.
