Historia
Conservatism Inc. is a compilation of first-rate journalistic pieces written in the heat of the moment by James Kirkpatrick, during one of the most intense periods of contemporary American politics - the events surrounding the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States. But Conservatism Inc. is also a concerted critique of an entire political class from the ground up, with special regard for the failings and cowardice of contemporary American conservatism.

Historia
In The Pietist Option, Christopher Gehrz, a historian of Pietism, and Mark Pattie, a pastor in the Pietist tradition, show how Pietism holds great promise for the church-and the world-today. Modeled after Philipp Spener's 1675 classic, Pia Desideria, this timely book makes a case for the vitality of Pietism in our day. Taking a hard look at American evangelicalism and why it needs renewal, Gehrz and Pattie explore the resources that Pietism can provide the church of the 21st century.

Annoying and disappointing
Revisado: 08-31-24
So much to say, but I will keep it brief
Pietism should make sense, but this is not the right book for it. This is infected with theological and political liberalism. White Christians need not apply, in other words. The early chapters and their political bent were made obvious, and clouded the occasional great insight the book had.
Furthermore, the narrator had a voice that was distracting. It reminded me of a grandfather who whistles when he says the letter S. This made it difficult to focus.
Overall, an unfortunate listen.

Historia
This classic Eastern Orthodox commentary on the Gospel of Matthew was written in about the year 1100 A.D. by Theophylact of Bulgaria, a brilliant and saintly Byzantine churchman. Blessed Theophylact distills the teaching of the early Church Fathers, especially St. John Chrysostom, in language that is profound, powerful, and direct. His commentary has remained a primary text on New Testament interpretation throughout the Christian East. Translated from the original Greek text.
