This was a great book that explained the ins-and-outs of the power struggles during the post war period and the early onset of the Cold War. While very long, I found the last few chapters on the Kennedys most intriguing. I did appreciate that the author seemed to not take large steps of assumption on fact, and instead left some of the missing clues up to the reader to decide and acknowledge.

This book provided a great overview of not only Augustus’ life, but the events that set the stage for when he was alive and reigned. The author tied together an intriguing narrative that was very informative and acknowledged when some sources were unreliable or if there were several working theories by historians on what really happened. Great book!

Tons of great example of how the author made deals work and how to think outside of the box to get deals done. Fantastic book, would recommend to anyone interested in the space!

This was an interesting topic that covered the difference between luck and skill. It also explained how disrupters/disadvantaged opponents need to change the game to get an edge by over complicating the game. There were several examples and it probably could have been a little shorter, but still very good!
