Historia
What's a bigger disaster than being stranded on an ice planet with a bunch of aliens, never to return home? Resonating to the biggest jerk of all those aliens, of course. I hate M'tok, and it seems to be mutual. He thinks I'm ugly and unpleasant, and doesn't understand why I don't just fling myself at him. In his eyes, resonance has decided, and that's that. Problem is, resonance keeps pushing us together. And when that doesn't make me jump into his furs...he steals me away from the camp. I can't avoid him if there's nowhere to go.

not my favorite
Revisado: 10-30-23
I loved the original series and I wonder if the author has used up everything she has already for this series. This was a terrible story. Already been done in the original series. I enjoyed it better in the first book. I wish she would come up with interesting things for this group. The first series that this is a spin off of always had something exciting and new. It was caveins, aliens coming to kidnap, finding a lost city and so on. The author truely won me over with her ability to tell a story. This story though I fast forward most of it. I hope the next is better or I am done.

When your mate is a Kordolian General who's betrayed the most vicious Empire in the Universe, things tend to get a little heavy from time to time. For the last six months, Tarak's had to divide his time between Earth and space, dealing with various...problems. But he's home now, and he tells me he's not going anywhere. That's good news, because our baby's on the way, and I'm dying to get out of this boring, stifling limbo they call the Diplomatic Zone.

Not the best
Revisado: 09-07-23
I looooooved the first two books. Could not wait to listen to this story. This book is 9 hours and 46 minutes long. There was about one hour that was interesting and kept me on my seat. The rest was soooo boring. I am confused by the great reviews for this story. Candy one woman wrote. I don't think so. If you enjoy listening to someone complain her feet, back and so on hurt from pregnancy over and over again. Or the male character repeating all he does for his pregnant mate. This was the basic idea for the first 6 plus hours of the book. Pregnancy woes, baby shopping, oh yeah and lots of s*x. This is suppose to be a romance not erotica. When you remove all the boring stuff there was around an hour left. I hope the next book is better otherwise I am done with these stories. The narrators were alright. That is that Jillian Macie was alright. Not great. She has a strange voice and all the female characters sound the same. Todd Mclaren is as always awesome. I actually enjoy his voice so much I have been looking for other books he has read without this female narrator mucking it up. The three star rating was for him. If the female narrator was better I would have given a five star rating for performance.

I once again loved the narrator. she does an incredible job. the story was long. By the time I was half done with the story I was wishing it would just end. I began to fast forward some of the chapters just to end the story. I know I amnone of the few that feels this way. There you have it though.

I was a little disappointed
Revisado: 05-09-23
So I loved the narration. Wow this voice actor is talented. The stories from the previous books were great. So I purchased this one also. The story was wonderful. So why did I only give the story one star. Well I loved it when I watched the story from the mini series North and South. Many may not remember this mini series since it was from the 80's. I remember it since I rewatch the series once a year. It is one of my favorites with Patrick Swayze. Therefore I know that many of the lines in the story were taken from the show. The names are from the characters in the show also. Madeleine in the show was pregnant by the man she loved and as it turns out she found out to late she is the daughter of a slave girl who is half black. Sound familiar? George in the mini series is northerner. This story is not exact to the mini series but it is very close. So close I became so disappointed through out listening. I know authors take liberties sometimes with other work but I prefer authors actually come up with original stories. I am sure the author did not expect anyone to remember the mini series but here you have it. The book is good and the narrator is excellent. So if you don't know the north and south mini series you will love it. If you are interested to see how very close this story is to the mini series I recommend you go and watch the show. I will listen to the next book since I love the narrators voice. Also I hope this will be the only story that is not original from the authors brain. Here's hoping the next book is original.

So I loved the first three stories. There was always something to keep me interested. This story though lost its luster. It was almost as if the author had not much to say and filled it with filler. Many episodes of how Lilly went to the gym or martial arts. There was a lot of details that i just fast forwarded. I also didn't need all the cleaning houses episodes. The story just bored me. Sorry

Historia
As the ash and chaos from Mount Rainier’s eruption swirled and finally settled, the story of the Greenloop massacre has passed unnoticed, unexamined...until now. The journals of resident Kate Holland, recovered from the town’s bloody wreckage, capture a tale too harrowing - and too earth-shattering in its implications - to be forgotten. In this audiobook, Max Brooks brings Kate’s extraordinary account to light for the first time, faithfully reproducing her words alongside his own extensive investigations into the massacre and the legendary beasts behind it.

So let me start by saying I am not a fan of sasquatch stories. I purchased this for my husband who loved it. Then he made me listen to it. Sigh!! Try to do a nice thing and you get punished. So that being said this story was incredible. The narrators were great. The story was put together very well. I couldn't stop listening. This is how all audio's should be. I hope everyone is listening. When you do an audio of a book it should have top notch readers such as this story. Even though I have no desire to read or listen to the type of stories this man writes I am purchasing the next book on audio from him. This story was like a movie for my brain and kept me interested until the end. Our son listened also and stated this was the best thing he had listened to in a long time. Let me tell you he is hard to impress. Just saying....

liked most of it
Revisado: 01-13-22
The author takes an incident from history that almost happened and says what if.... It is a very well written story for the most part. He gives good examples of how it was to be an American Indian. The narrator should give lessons to other narrators on how to perform the art. She is wonderful and able to capture all the different accents. Very impressive. Now for what I didn't like. The story dragged in some parts. It was 15 hours long and could have been told in a much shorter time. The author repeated many aspects over and over again. This made it drag for me. Then there were things in the story he did not put enough time to. Such as two incidents of r*pe. Each time the author basically made it like it never happened. I truly believe that if any woman was involved in a brutal attack where a close friend is murdered and the rest are violated over and over again. This would not be a oh well it happened moment. This is how I feel the author handled it. They were rescued and then basically nothing. No real emotions from the women. This is not how it would happen in real life.

This is a great story. The narrator pronounced a few streets wrong but if you don’t live in Saint Louis it is bound to happen. Lots of fun.

Gracie Reed is doing just fine. Sure, she was fired by her overly “friendly” boss, and yes, she still hasn’t gotten her mother into the nursing home of their dreams, but she’s healthy, she’s (somewhat) happy, and she’s (mostly) holding it all together. But when a mysterious SUV pulls up beside her, revealing Chinese cinema's golden couple Wei Fangli and Sam Yao, Gracie’s world is turned on its head. The famous actress has a proposition: Due to their uncanny resemblance, Fangli wants Gracie to be her stand-in.

Narrator was great
Revisado: 08-11-21
The narrator was terrific. Of course she is a professional actor. The story is very predictable. I knew what was going to happen by the second chapter. The first hour and the last hour were good. The rest of the book was very boring. It was a lot about Gracie learning how to pretend to be a famous actress that hired her to pretend to be her. I skipped a great deal of it. I can’t understand the great reviews. The narrator was the saving grace. At least this story was free through audible +.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. So I have watched the outlander show many times and love it. I assumed that like many times in the past that the book would be better. So I purchased the kindle edition and the audible. I feel that honestly it is not better. All the best parts of the story are in the show. There were scenes in the show that I loved that were not in this story. The director or producer of the show must have added them. The scene where claire sits with the red coats at the table talking and eating is not in this book, the scenes where they are preparing for the wedding and all the crazy things the men do are not in this story, the red coat officer who ask her if she needs help is not in this story, there was a scene where she is helping women in this town and they are doing something with cloth and singing ( not in the Story). There are others but I think anybody can get my point. The story is well written and had I not seen the show I would think it was great. That being said I was truly bored. This story is 32 hours and it drags. I am not a fan of the narrator. First she sounds too old to be Claire. Also there is someone in the background coughing continuously through her narration. I repeated the scenes many times and it was definitely coming from my earbuds . I just expect a little more for how much this audible cost. If you are truly interested in this story watch the show. It is incredibly done with great actors.
