Historia
In 2019, author John Green met Henry Reider, a young tuberculosis patient at Lakka Government Hospital in Sierra Leone. John became fast friends with Henry, a boy with spindly legs and a big, goofy smile. In the years since that first visit to Lakka, Green has become a vocal advocate for increased access to treatment and wider awareness of the healthcare inequities that allow this curable, preventable infectious disease to also be the deadliest, killing over a million people every year. In Everything Is Tuberculosis, John tells Henry’s story.

He has a point!

Just like the man himself... such a well thought out, articulate, and informative message. I love the narration and how easily digestible the message is.

Historia
It’s a beautiful day in Newport, Rhode Island, when Phoebe Stone arrives at the grand Cornwall Inn wearing a green dress and gold heels, not a bag in sight, alone. She's immediately mistaken by everyone in the lobby for one of the wedding people, but she’s actually the only guest at the Cornwall who isn’t here for the big event. Phoebe is here because she’s dreamed of coming for years—she hoped to shuck oysters and take sunset sails with her husband, only now she’s here without him, at rock bottom, and determined to have one last decadent splurge on herself.

No reason
Revisado: 07-23-24
There is simply no reason to involve the harmful sexual themes in the way it was written. Way to far

Historia
It’s the most wonderful time of the year...but not for Maelyn Jones. She’s living with her parents, hates her going-nowhere job, and has just made a romantic error of epic proportions. But perhaps worst of all, this is the last Christmas Mae will be at her favorite place in the world - the snowy Utah cabin where she and her family have spent every holiday since she was born, along with two other beloved families.

Very cozy fantasy day dream
Revisado: 12-15-23
I loved the story overall, I’d you’re just looking for a cuddly Christmas book this is it! However, if you are bothered by a few holes in the plot and some convenient solutions that don’t actually come from the main character then it’s still good!!

Convincing Kolis won’t be easy, though–not even with a lifetime of training.

Just one triggering rape novel
Revisado: 11-03-23
Honestly I’m so disappointed. This series started and quickly fell in love with even the bad guys but this was way too far. I found myself skipping and skipping and I just can’t keep going due solely on all the rape and unsolicited forced sexual advances. It’s disgusting truly. Overall very disappointing.

Historia
Practical, unassuming Jane Shoringfield has done the calculations and decided that the most secure path forward is this: a husband, in a marriage of convenience, who will allow her to remain independent and occupied with meaningful work. Her first choice, the dashing but reclusive Doctor Augustine Lawrence, agrees to her proposal with only one condition: that she must never visit Lindridge Hall, his crumbling family manor outside of town. Yet on their wedding night, an accident strands her at his door in a pitch-black rainstorm, and she finds him changed.

WTF so haunting in its pace. Perfectly paced to leave you suspended longing for the next words, but fearful to turn to the next page.
