Historia
Alexa Chambers has a flair for style, an eye for art - and a reputation in tatters. An expert in Art Deco, she blew the whistle on an employer who was selling fakes to wealthy clients. Her payoff? No job and no prospects. But gutsy, energetic Alexa has no intention of sitting still. She's ready to take risks to rebuild her career... and she secretly consults on an exquisite deco collection being installed at the new Avalon Resorts. Her scheme might just work - if she can steer clear of the resort's owner, the enigmatic and possibly dangerous J. L. Trask.

The performance by Jen Taylor as the narrator!
Revisado: 02-24-25
Enjoyed this story by Jayne A Krentz. I enjoyed all of her work but a bad narrator can make it painful to listen to. Jen Taylor did a fabulous job on this one. I will look for her again . Only problem was a couple of repeat glitches in the the recording, not a big deal.

For five grand a month and a million-dollar chaser, Roger Mulligan didn't care how crazy the old geezer was. All he had to do was keep Joseph Perry Shackleford alive and keep him from squandering the estate for a year. But they didn't tell him about the pixies.

Revisado: 04-11-22
Wonderful listen. Never found it boring or repetitive. Great narration. Great characters. Would like to live in the house. Would like for the story to continue, but it was an appropriate ending, not one where it’s obviously not the end of the story. That may sound like a recommendation but it really means that it was a well written story and that I would love to hear more. I’m just not left with the anxiety of incompleteness. Roger Mulligan is a wonderful character.

Historia
After winning two wars against the Nemovorti, Minalan plans an expedition to The Lost Valley of Anghysbel, in the far north of his realm. It's there, in the caldera of a supervolcano at the edge of the tundra, he suspects many of the answers he so desperately needs might be hidden. The only problem is that thanks to the anti-magical properties of the jevolar, his spells won’t work; he’ll be without magic for the first time since he came into his Talent.

Historia
Moving into a rundown Victorian house with a vampire living in the basement isn’t as bad as I thought, but things go from weird to weirder when a badly injured gnome collapses in my back yard. The surprising part? It’s my friend Nin’s long-lost grandfather. Since he’s unconscious, we can’t figure out who’s chasing him or where he’s been all these years, but if we can’t help him, he’ll die. To make matters worse, there’s a new dragon in town. A female dragon.

Love the series. Love the snark, the character development, the worlds, developed. And the epilogue had me laughing out loud at 3 in the morning because I had to finish it. Work is going to be tough tomorrow.

Historia
When it rains, it pours...and sometimes love finds you even when you can’t find yourself. Fate has given me a second chance at the happiness I once knew in the odd Southern town of Grimm Cove. But only if I can come to terms with some rather eye-opening revelations. Supernaturals are a real thing. I'm a witch. My high school sweetheart, who happens to be the Chief of Police in Grimm Cove, is my fated mate and a wolf-shifter. Ghosts exist and can be very nosy and meddlesome. Someone is murdering witches left and right.

Just so so
Revisado: 05-09-21
Narrator , and everything else is jus al right not great but not terrible either. Nice idea. I don’t agree with the reviewer who felt the age comments were too much. They were appropriate for the story line. But I wasn’t wild about the narrator. She was a little bland and the accents a little weak. Better than I could have done and she was consistent. I think what I found most implausible was the speed of the whole thing. One day back in town and it’s all done. But I’ll read the next because I need something for a rainy afternoon.
Not sure about the whole genre of middle age centered paranormal. Being past that on one hand I like that it’s not another teen coming of age story. But I still want a well written series that pulls me in no matter the age of the or sex of protagonist. When you write a story to meet such a specific audience your starting with limitations.

After the Final War, after the appearance of the Bug aliens and their enforced peace, Shining Smith is still alive, still doing business from the old scrapyard bequeathed to her by her father. But Shining is now something more than human. And the scrapyard is no longer just a scrapyard, but a place full of secrets. This life she has built, while empty, is predictable and safe. Until the only friend left from her previous life shows up, dead, in the back of a scrapped Tesla warplane. Clutched in her cold fingers is a note to Shining - warning her of a coming attack.

Loved the story. Only problem it was too short and a sequel isn’t available. Faith hunter is one of my favorite authors and Jane Yellowrock one of the series I listen to repeatedly. In large part due to Khristine Hvam her narrations are always excellent and easy on the ears and mind. I always give her reads a try.

What does the most powerful wizard in the world do after the war? Despite the hordes of goblins still ready to ravage human lands, King Rard has signed a treaty with them, so Minalan is forbidden from taking advantage of their weak state. Most would take a well-deserved rest over the summer…but Minalan and his household are busy repaying a favor owed to the tribal Kasari for their help in the war, and the Spellmonger pays his debts. So Minalan spends his summer sneaking 2,000 Kasari children through enemy lines and some of the roughest territory in the Five Duchies toward salvation.

They just get better and better
Revisado: 08-20-19
I was worried when I started the series that they would be so repetitive and just book after book each one so long also. But it hasn’t worked out like that at all This book has provided respite from battles against overwhelming odds won at the last moment. This one with the story of moral and physical victory over some of the worst atrocities of war, has brought the spell monger to new heights of cleverness, Margery, guile and political astuteness. Tens thousands of people haven’t had to die to save thousands. But the tall tale just gets happily bigger and more complex. Terry Mancour explores the political, social, moral and religious nature of mankind with humor and great world building with just enough twists and turns to satisfy., evil green marbles and angelic snowflakes, and all.

The last time Sophie saw sexy P.I. Anatoly Darinsky, he practically danced a jig when she waved goodbye; a normal reaction for a man who'd nearly bought the farm trying to protect her from her own foolishness. What are the chances he'd agree to take incriminating pictures of her sister's philandering husband? Or that he'd let her tag along, you know, for research?

Okay - recording issues.
Revisado: 01-27-19
Lots of recording issues giving the book title intro at the start of very new chapter in the middle chapters. Stating that the first book is the next book in the series at the end.
Otherwise, I enjoyed that it wasn’t just an excuse for soft porn. I also enjoyed that it was free in the romance package. I like the group of misfit characters the author is developing. I always enjoy Gabra Zackman, although I found the voice she decided on for Anatoly disappointing.
I will continue the series while I wait for more credits.

Best so far.
Revisado: 01-01-19
The complexity of the story line is great. The weaving of the characters emotions and the their stories, their pasts, Canada’s story. Everyone is growing and learning. Just as the villagers have learned to live with each other, flaws and all, the reader does as well. Hopefully we learn to bury our past as well.
Narrator was fabulous as always.

Oberon the Irish wolfhound is off to Portland to smell all the things with canine companions, and, of course, his human, ancient Druid Atticus O'Sullivan. The first complication is an unmistakable sign of sinister agendas afoot: a squirrel atop the train. But an even more ominous situation is in store when the trio plus Atticus stumble across a murder upon arrival at the station. They recognize Detective Gabriela Ibarra, who's there to investigate. But they also recognize the body - or rather that the body is a doppelganger for Atticus himself.
