Historia
In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

I’m not a SF reader… yet this was outstanding
Revisado: 09-13-24
Nothing to dislike here! I found myself walking around the house carrying my phone as I listened. I listened in the car… which is no less than 6 hours a week.
The characters are so unique to each other, and yet with a common challenge uniting them. The development of the plot is superb. It snuck up on you, then it beat itself into your head, then it left you breathless, waiting to see who wins… if either indeed does. I highly recommend this book. I’m not an SF reader, so I don’t know the review language that you use. But I’m going to recommend this to at least three of my friends. It’s just that good a book.

Historia
After my ex-boyfriend makes me the target of a cruel online hate campaign, I know I have to get away. The last thing I expect on my trip to Sweden is a moose standing in the middle of the road—or the mysterious, bearded ranger who pulls me from my wrecked car. Now, a storm's brewing, and I'm being carried into a secluded mountain cabin by a Nordic God rippling with muscle. Inside, I'm greeted by three ridiculously hot Swedish mountain men.

Twenty-five years after the end of the war, Noah Ainsworth is still preoccupied with those perilous, exhilarating years as a British SOE operative in France. A head injury sustained on his final operation has caused frustrating gaps in his memory—in particular about the agent who saved his life during that mission gone wrong, whose real name he never knew, nor whether she even survived the war.

What remarkable people are depicted in this book. It is so sad to read stories such as this, and know their based on real life. We have to do better. This book tells us exactly why.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The narration required many emotions be expressed, and was well done. The characters were well developed, and the story line was delightful. A very nice listen.

Spanning the years 1900 to 1977, The Covenant of Water is set in Kerala, on South India’s Malabar Coast, and follows three generations of a family that suffers a peculiar affliction: in every generation, at least one person dies by drowning—and in Kerala, water is everywhere. This is a story of many stories
Revisado: 08-25-23
The narrator is EXCELLENT. The story weaves many persons’ lives together into a tale that’s both believable and unbelievable. Each character comes to life with such depth of experience that you feel you really know them. The plot weaves you through lives and circumstances and beliefs and ambitions and failures and triumphs and love and heartbreak. Through births and deaths and heart wrenching moments. This book is well worth your time. Enjoy. And do not leave before the last word!

Boy… this one was terrific. Each of the characters was spot on. The twists and turns were great… but it was the humor that had me captivated. So well written. And perfectly narrated to focus on the action. I loved this book! I think you might love it, too.

This book and bring you to your knees. In gratitude, Ball, and thankfulness. The love this family has as it goes through life’s ordinary trials and this one extraordinary trial is a fulfilling to the heart and educational to the mind. I realize I didn’t know 90% of the information that I was exposed to in this book, and I need all 90%. It isn’t just melanomas. Although that significant enough. It’s also the struggle against any major catastrophic illness and disease. Please read this book. I listened to it on Audible and it was fantastic.

I learned a tremendous amount about dogs in general and certain breeds in specific through listening to this book. I’m pondering whether to get a dog, and this book was very helpful to me. It will also help me to interact better with the dogs that I meet. The author and narrator is truly dedicated to his craft, and that shows in every word and intonation. This book is a delight to listen to.
