Historia
Have you ever woken up, rolled over, and thought to yourself, “I’m pretty sure I’m working for a Super Villain.” If you haven’t, then maybe you’re not the type of person to work for a global corporation. Edmund, however, is just such an individual. He works for Legion: a corporation of unimaginable reach that he barely understands, a corporation that seems determined to put itself smack dab in the middle of a brewing civil war between Super Heroes and Super Villains.

If you have already listened to the books from the same universe that this one is set in, its amazing, though I will say don't buy it until you listen to those books, because the book kind of assumes you already have the knowledge from those books to work off from. So it does not explain some things

The surface world is a strange place for a young man who grew up in hell. Darren was just a boy when he and his mother were betrayed by paladins and chased beneath the Earth. There, with only his paladin's sigil and his quests to guide him, Darren grew from boy to man. Born in fire and blood, hell itself sculpted the perfect paladin.

Awesome start but some issues
Revisado: 08-06-22
It's quite good for a guilty pleasure book. Some obvious OP character stuff and characters falling in love with hot main character pretty instantly kinda like an anime plot, but despite that still a fun story that is quite funny. Only issue I had really (slight spoiler) is the writer really missed a chance for great character development for MC and love interests when one of the love interests pretty much got a much of innocent people killed and instead of properly writing a scene where she feels bad and has to make up for her mistakes or some shit, they just have the MC spank her as a "punishment" and they fuck and stuff. Just kinda like "oh okay I guess we will just forget about all those dead people"

Wow, that was really really not good
Revisado: 03-17-22
I usually like smutty books like this, something of a guilty pleasure, I like to sometimes close off my brain and just enjoy a simple story. I have often been surprised by how good the story, or world concept or writing, in general, is in these books. this was the first time that I can genuinely say there is nothing good about this book, the writing is just bad. Story-wise nothing makes sense and nothing is explained, things just happen. woman fall in love with the main character when all he does is constantly ogle, they constantly are talking about how great the main character is, it's like the woman are just there to have nice tits, and say good things about the main character, while the mind of the main character is legit NOTHING but thinking about how nice the women's bodies are, and suddenly for some reason knowing what to do at the last min with nothing really explained. The world is not really established, there is no foreshadowing to anything. This was really just one of the worst books I have had to listen to. The Performance was okay from the man, not horrible but not good either, the woman was god offal, however. no emotion in her performance at all, but I can not really blame them since they were not given a lot to work with, do not waste money or credit on this.

Performance is great, story is good. It does not do the thing that most books with "harem" aspects do where every single girl is super cool with it for no reason which is refreshing. Main character is a good combination of being capable but not so strong or smart that its boring and the solve everything in a couple seconds, He is a lovable asshole and his personality does not get stale, The story is pretty funny, and the romance is solid. I just finished the 5th book and all of this continues in those books as well. Worth the credits I spent.

just as good as the other books.
Revisado: 02-20-20
story picks up right where it left off. pacing and everything just as good as the other two books. of course this series is not perfect, author leave plot holes all over the place, just like in the first two books but its a nice casual listen and the powers are dope and the overall story is enjoyable even tho its kind of like some lonely otakus fantasy lol i still enjoy it though, every now and then i wanna listen to a story i dont really have to think about. its like playing a couple round of cod instead of doing a long playthrough of witcher 3. both are enjoyable, ones better but sometimes you just wanna sit back and mindlessly shoot things. thats the best way i can put this series. anyways good 3rd book

overall pretty good, but
Revisado: 10-30-19
The first half of the story is very very slow, also thr story as a whole is a little repetitive. I feel like the writer could have made the story 2 an a half hours shorter and it would have been a better experience. That said the short comings are out done by the good. The story is overall good and entertaining. The concept is interesting. Characters are fun, and consistent. The performance was great, EB Stevens never disappoints.

Brandon Mull is amazing, Kirby Heyborne is trash.
Revisado: 10-24-19
Like always Brandon Mull wrote a great story. I loved it from that perspective. I loved every second of the book when I read it, listening to this is just hard though. Kirby continues to ruin these great books. I honestly have no idea how this dude continues to get work reading books. He ruined the story thief's audiobooks as well. I know you can not compare anybody to EB Stevens, but I've listened to a lot of performances on audible, four months and 12 hours worth of listening on audible and nobody has been as bad as this dude. He has literally two voices, plain male American and male plain male britishish. His cringy voice cracking squeals during emotions moments are just horrible, he also does this just sort of randomly as well. Like the character will be emotional when I believe it was not Brandon's intention. I will not get the next audiobook in this series. Just gonna get the book and enjoy it without this dude ruining what should be a great series on audible.

Revisado: 09-29-19
EB Stevens did suchan amazing job on the fablehaven series. this new guy Kirby Heyborne is such a huge step down. I can get threw the books because of the great storys Brandon Mull writes, but wow does this dude make it a struggle sometimes. he does the same 2 voices for every single character. either normal or a not very good attempt at British. either no emotion at all or high and whiny. I am much kess likely to get audiobooks preformed by this dude, even if I loved the books as much as i love this series

What happens when the haggling is done and the shops are closed? When the quest has been given, the steeds saddled, and the adventurers are off to their next encounter?
