A House Divided tells a more personal story than its predecessors, yet still expands the scope of the story. It continues the beautifully minimalist style of writing, and brings a perfect, satisfying end to the trilogy.

The narration by Verner is delightful and brings the story and characters to life.

Decided to try this book after reading a mini-review on The Verge. It was initially a little difficult to follow, as the world is so jarringly unique, so rich and detailed (but shrouded in a fog of mysteries). But the unusual use of 2nd person narration for parts piqued my interest and kept me going on. The initial effort was well worth the effort. N. K. Jemisin has crafted a masterpiece. I've already got the next one downloaded and ready to listen to!
