Great insight into a new tool in solving crime!
Revisado: 01-12-25
The author was absolutely the right person to write this book. She has incredible first person knowledge of IGG and its use in solving crime. I wish she had considered allowing someone else to narrate the book though.

In 1993, David Koresh and a band of heavily armed evangelical Christians took on the might of the US government. America is still picking up the pieces, and we still haven't heard the full story.

Another Great One By Cook!
Revisado: 02-14-23
This was a great listen! It was a story I thought I remembered. Cook filled in all of the gaps in my memory. He is so good at making the listener feel like they are living though the story as it’s happening. The narrator was a perfect match for the book.

Historia
We live in a world of seeds. From our morning toast to the cotton in our clothes, they are quite literally the stuff and staff of life, supporting diets, economies, and civilizations around the globe. Just as the search for nutmeg and the humble peppercorn drove the Age of Discovery, so did coffee beans help fuel the Enlightenment and cottonseed help spark the Industrial Revolution. And from the fall of Rome to the Arab Spring, the fate of nations continues to hinge on the seeds of a Middle Eastern grass known as wheat.

On January 28, 1986, NASA's space shuttle Challenger exploded after blasting off from Cape Canaveral. Christa McAuliffe, America's "Teacher in Space", was instantly killed, along with the other six members of the mission. At least that's what most of us remember. Kevin Cook tells us what really happened on that ill-fated, unforgettable day. He traces the pressures - leading from NASA to the White House - that triggered the fatal order to launch on an ice-cold Florida morning.

Good Synopsis but Jumped Around A Lot
Revisado: 09-25-21
It was a thorough historical review of Serial Murders…some familiar, some new to me. The narrator was very good. The author jumped around a lot and his theory behind the “Golden Age” seems to me a little flawed.
