Historia
Sonny Lofthus is a strangely charismatic and complacent young man. Sonny’s been in prison for a dozen years, nearly half his life. The inmates who seek out his uncanny abilities to soothe leave his cell feeling absolved. They don’t know or care that Sonny has a serious heroin habit - or where or how he gets his uninterrupted supply of the drug. Or that he’s serving time for other peoples’ crimes. Sonny took the first steps toward addiction when his father took his own life rather than face exposure as a corrupt cop. Now Sonny is the seemingly malleable center of a whole infrastructure of corruption....

Sucks Bad!!
Revisado: 09-15-23
The dog didn’t add anything to the story, and I can’t stand fictional stories when an animal is killed for no reason at all.
I will not recommend this book to anyone, plus it’s a rather boring story to to top off my low rating.

As good as harry potter and the Outlander series
Revisado: 09-25-20
This is one of those slowly and patiently over the series developing stories with lovable characters, and well thought out unfolding stories within. She, as in the authoress ;), once again has you believeing in magic. I love everything about these series, and although this one had lots of dark things in it, it’s so far my favorite! Strongly recommended to anyone who loves a great book.

Great story with awful narrator
Revisado: 09-11-20
Really cool story, you don’t really know who is the bad guy until close to the end and even then it’s surprising, unfortunately the narrator talks so fast that it almost ruins the whole book. I love good books about psychopaths, and this is really good twisted storyline, but it needs to be narrated by someone who talks much slower… This woman was in a real huge rush, at first I thought my setting was accidentally on a higher speed.

A Fairytale True story, magically told!
Revisado: 01-10-17

Too hard of a question, I love Everything about this book!
Would you recommend Bitter Greens to your friends? Why or why not?
YES! Great story, based on truth, written great, and told magically by the reader!
What three words best describe Kate Reading’s performance?
Beautiful, Heartfelt, perfect!
If you could take any character from Bitter Greens out to dinner, who would it be and why?
The Witch of course, I'd pick her brains for spells!!!
Any additional comments?
I love learning about history in well written historical novels, and this is one of the best ones, read by one of my most favorit Readers. The Author is an incredible and talented author obviously, and the Reader for this audio book was chosen wisely. Anyone else, and they would have not been able to bring the story as alive as Kate Reading did.

Unaccurate, but a Great listen!
Revisado: 09-23-16
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Exactly, yes and no. You get the jist of the story, but as the author tells you himself at the end, he leaves other important historical figures out and is not accurate with timings etc., and he says it is so he can keep on moving the story line ahead, but with a bit of creativity, which he is not lacking apparently, he could have made the whole series as accurate as the facts are.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Hopefully an accurate telling of the complete story, beginning to end.
Which scene was your favorite?
King Edward IV becoming the King, I could even see the man taking on the role of King... how people must have loved him.
Could you see Wars of the Roses: Bloodline being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
YES!!!

Whitty, intelligent, funny and yet deep!
Revisado: 04-11-16
Where does The Last Anniversary rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
In the top 10, and I read at least 10 books a month.
What did you like best about this story?
The intelligent and whitty way the story is being presented.
What about Heather Wilds’s performance did you like?
Everything.
If you could take any character from The Last Anniversary out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Rose and Ryck. Rose is just so sweet and yet she is the one with the biggest secret, and Ryck... well, he's just hot!
Any additional comments?
I have not read such a fun and yet complicated story, so well presented, both by the narrator and by the author, in a very long time. The book had me laughing out loud a number of times, it is not often that this happens. This author is really wonderful and gifted, the narrator brings the already great story and characters into the three dimension off the page. The first book I have decided to read again once I finished!

Psycho dark with unexpected twisted turns!
Revisado: 04-08-16
Would you consider the audio edition of The Bone Collector to be better than the print version?
No, but the only reason I won't consider is because I have no sight at all. The narrator ought not have been aloud to narrate this book.
Would you be willing to try another one of Connor O'Brien’s performances?
Certainly not. His narration was the only problem, he even did the speaking voices all right, it is his aweful narration, he raises the pitch at the end of a sentence, making it sound like it is a question.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, Rhyme's dark moments as he struggles with his crippleing disability.
Any additional comments?
I read some of the later books in this series first and so reading the first one puts it all nicely together for me. I love the way he clarifies and explains science and scientific data, and the way the plots get to be discovered is very witty. Usually I end up learning something about one thing or another, not to mention that each book is a page turner. These books are one of the higher class and more intelligent crime novels for certain.

The author's brilliant way or arranging and planning out the stories
Who was your favorite character and why?

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Life
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was dumstruck at the end, because of the brilliance of how classically the author has created Magic with a book!
Any additional comments?

Wise Lessons within Teachings!
Revisado: 12-12-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I already recommended it to a friend, simply because it is a brillient and amazing story.
What did you like best about this story?
The Truth, that much of it was true life experience.
What three words best describe Sam Tsoutsouvas’s voice?
Wise Grandfather Teacher
If you could take any character from The Journeys of Socrates out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Sergei Ivanov. A cool and calm, strong and wise martial artist, regardless of his age, I probably would try to seduce him after dinner!
Any additional comments?
I was so shocked of Dan's revelation at the end. I read his first book, The Peaceful Warrior a long time ago, and just didn't see the connection coming at the end.
