Historia
Marcellino D'Ambrosio dusts off what might have been just dry theology to bring you the exciting stories of great heroes such as Ambrose, Augustine, Basil, Athanasius, John Chrysostom, and Jerome. These brilliant, embattled, and sometimes eccentric men defined the biblical canon, hammered out the Creed, and gave us our understanding of sacraments and salvation. It is they who preserved the rich legacy of the early Church for us.

Tradition matters
Revisado: 11-01-21
Regardless of what kind of catholic you consider yourself to be, this book would be a great help to your spiritual life. Our history matters and we ought to learn it.
I enjoyed learning about how these men lived and was surprised to find that they dealt with similar problems to us. It is true that there is no new heresy under the sun.

In this monumental and provocative history, Patrick Buchanan makes the case that, if not for the blunders of British statesmen - Winston Churchill first among them - the horrors of two world wars and the Holocaust might have been avoided and the British Empire might never have collapsed into ruins.

Required reading
Revisado: 09-22-21
Im going to listen to it again but this time, I'll be sitting with a pen and paper. This ought to be required reading for all citizens of the west. We are repeating history because we have not learned it.
The "greatest generation" sacrificed its best and brightest in brother wars that should have never been fought. Listen to the book, then do some internet searches on Churchill and main side project, given to him by his uncle.

Dubbed the "Dumb Ox" by his classmates for his shyness, Saint Thomas Aquinas proved to be possessed of the rarest brilliance, justifying the faith of his teacher, Albertus Magnus, and sparking a revolution in Christian thought. Chesterton's unsurpassed examination of Aquinas' thinking makes his philosophy accessible to listeners of any generation.

The Angelic Doctor
Revisado: 10-16-20
This book, like every other of Chesterton's that I've listened to and read, is a short masterpiece. I downloaded it hoping to learn more about St. Thomas Aquinas, and got bonus information about Augustine and Francis as well! Well worth the listen. I plan to listen to it again, and hope to pick out details that I may have missed the first time through.
What a world it would be if only we had the humility to respond, "Nothing but you, Lord."

Everything, well, almost everything, you know about American history is wrong because most textbooks and popular history books are written by left-wing academic historians who treat their biases as fact. But fear not; Professor Thomas Woods refutes the popular myths in The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History.

Great book for critical thinkers
Revisado: 05-27-20
Great book that lays out the real motivations of our political leaders throughout American history. The best part is, it's full of quotes from the same leaders who would have history rewritten to conceal that their decisions cost countless American lives.
If you want to hear the same story you were told in school, this book isn't for you, and the title must've confused you somehow. If you're able to put on your thinking cap and understand that this is written with capitalist bias, you'll pull a lot of useful information out of it. I'm willing to look past the short glorification of the Rockefellers and the complete disregard of anything that might implicate "our only ally in the Middle East". If he discussed the problems in our understanding of last century, he would've uncovered things that might bring us back to Germany circa 1935.

Historia
It took nearly two millennia for the enemies of the Catholic Church to realize they could not successfully attack the Church from the outside. Indeed, countless nemeses from Nero to Napoleon succeeded only in creating sympathy and martyrs for our Catholic Faith. That all changed in the mid-19th century, when clandestine societies populated by Modernists and Marxists hatched a plan to subvert the Catholic Church from within. Their goal: to change Her doctrine, Her liturgy, and Her mission.

D.T. Marsh layin it down for all those "Alt-Rights" out there wondering if a little sedevacantism action is what's up. Didn't really listen to you much until I heard your podcast with Ol' Goldy, and oh so glad I did.

If you're waiting for your call about the next crusade, this book is for you.
If you've wondered why all the old ladies in Mass seem so familiar when they lift up their hearts or pray the Our Father, it's because you've seen Emperor Palpatine use force lighting and this book is for you.
Thanks Doc. You've put in the long hours for those of us who didn't know where to begin.

Historia
Alistair Urquhart was a soldier in the Gordon Highlanders captured by the Japanese in Singapore. He not only survived working on the notorious Bridge on the River Kwai , but he was subsequently taken on one of the Japanese ‘hellships’ which was torpedoed. Nearly everyone else on board died and Urquhart spent 5 days alone on a raft in the South China Sea before being rescued by a whaling ship. He was taken to Japan and then forced to work in a mine near Nagasaki.

Didn't realize how weak I was..
Revisado: 03-24-19
Great book, definitely worth a listen. If I ever feel like complaining about my situation in life, I hope I think back to this book. It's unbelievable how much suffering the human person is capable of withstanding. It was brutal to hear how the British government treated its POW's post-war but then again I'm not surprised, as their goal was to create Israel while the west was still in flames.

By far the best business book I have ever read/listened to. The principles in this book. If applied, will carry you beyond a successful work environment and into a balanced personal life as well. I also recommend Jocko's book, Discipline Equals Freedom.
Jocko and Leif, thank you.
