Historia
Beverly Underwood and her arch enemy, Lula Dean, live in the tiny town of Troy, Georgia, where they were born and raised. Now Beverly is on the school board, and Lula has become a local celebrity by embarking on mission to rid the public libraries of all inappropriate books—none of which she’s actually read. To replace the “pornographic” books she’s challenged at the local public library, Lula starts her own lending library in front of her home: a cute wooden hutch with glass doors and neat rows of the worthy literature that she’s sure the town’s readers need.

Wow
Revisado: 12-15-24
What an amazing read. I finished in a day, and enjoyed every second. The subjects of this book are very serious and are not being made fun of, but it still managed to be funny and optimistic.
I would recommend to everyone, even people who don't usually read. It's a masterpiece, and it will probably get banned at some point (unless those people at the committees would read this and change their minds).

This is very different than the first book, but just as developed and interesting. So many betrayals though!

Amazing
Revisado: 10-27-22
The story represented autistic person very well. Not all autistic people are the same, and the characters referred to it more than once, which I really appreciate.
I don't know how not-autistic people would feel about Scarlet, but I loved getting to know her. She is amazing, Heather is very nice and caring, and the supporting characters were all interesting and funny.
The writing is great and I would like to know how Amanda Radley managed to write an autistic character with so much understanding and compassion.

Jae managed to make me feel like I'm in San-Fransisco with the characters. It was amazing. I could hear, feel and smell the words and descriptions.

This is one of the funniest books I've ever read.
The story is interesting.
The characters are amazing.
I liked the banter between the characters, their serious conversations that somehow were important and helpful for them but super funny at the same time, their fights and curses and weird ways of saying 'I love you'.
I really loved how Alex and Cass treat Brett and Scotty like their moms, and how Brett keeps insisting she's not a mom while acting like one.
It was so much fun, I'm definitely going to listen to this book again.

Historia
While the investigations go on in Dallas and Baton Rouge after the disappearance of a senator's daughter, FBI agents CJ Johnston and Paige Riley are assigned to the sleepy backwoods of East Texas for a dead-end assignment to infiltrate an all-girls school. Random disappearances dating back 50 years and more raise red flags that point to the tiny, isolated community of Hoganville. But CJ and Paige fear there will be little distraction from the memories of the one-night stand they shared six months ago.

A romantic thriller, light horror with paranormal elements.
Hill's writing is as good as always.
The plot is captivating, I couldn't stop listening.
The characters are well written.
I especially liked the parts that were told from side characters' POVs.
The only problem with this book is the lack of trigger warning, and it definitely needs it, so here it is: child abuse, rape, suicide.

Funny and wonderful.
Arie is cute and charming. Mir is ruthless, cold and impulsive. They're total opposites, and in a few points during the story I thought Arie was better without Mir. But it all worked eventually, and Mir developed enough to be a good partner. Their story is interesting and well written.

Historia
Ambitious ice queen and corporate lawyer Felicity Simmons has spent her life focused on one thing: scuttling up the career ladder. She's achingly close to taking charge of a media empire for her boss when she's sent to investigate a South Bronx charity that helps homeless people's pets. Has the charity made off with her boss's generous donation? And, who on earth is that gorgeous soft-butch veterinarian who looks as if she could toss a Shetland pony over one shoulder? Not that Felicity has any interest in some opinionated Amazon or her adorable fleabag of a dog.

Felicity is amazing. Learning how her mind works was exceptional and intriguing, she is such a unique person. Her relationship with Cooper is funny, it seems like it shouldn't work, but it does because they have great chemistry and ability to accept each other, bad and weird parts included.
Lee Winter's writing is amazing, she has this magic in her words that makes the story feel real.
I'm definitely listening to this one again.
