This book has value for anyone who wants to be a biblical counselor. Though, you should go in knowing that it's from a protestant and calvinist perspective and so contains a lot of error and heterodox theology. I still think people who want to be counselors should read it once, but take in the meat and spit out the bones

The Royal Collection is one of the most wide-ranging collections of art and artefacts in the world, and it provides an intriguing insight into the minds of the monarchs who have assembled it. In this series, BBC Arts Editor Will Gompertz examines dozens of these unique objects, in a quest to "use the collection as a prism through which to better understand the art of being a monarch". From intimate portraits to epic tapestries, from the Coronation pen to the Investiture sword, each has an absorbing history.

what I really want are some good books on the philosophy of monarchy and how to argue in its favor.
that said, this was okay. it's not as monarchist as I am, but it was enjoyable and interesting

Historia
Institutes of the Christian Religion is John Calvin's seminal work on Protestant systematic theology. Highly influential in the Western world and still widely read by theological students today, it was published in Latin in 1536 and in his native French in 1541. The book serves as an introductory textbook on the Protestant faith for those with some previous knowledge of theology and covers a broad range of theological topics from the doctrines of church and sacraments to justification by faith alone and Christian liberty.

for a long time I have been persuaded that the most common views with regard to Ecclesiastes are not correct, and I love this book's refreshing perspective.
this book is very helpful, and instructive. The whole point is simply this, "life is short, enjoy it while you have it, and use it to glorify God." if that isn't wisdom I dont know what is

I have come to appreciatemuch that Moo has to offer, especially on the book of Romans. In fact I think he entertains some errors that are kind 9f serious. However, I definitely believe that Moo is my brother in Christ, and the vast majority of what he has to say shows him to be an able interpretor.

Why is The Book of Enoch so important to anyone interested in Biblical history? The answer is simple: It is directly quoted in the New Testament by Jude (vv.14-15). Themes of the book referenced in 2 Peter 2:1. Jesus also used content from The Book of Enoch in many of his sermons in Matthew and Luke. In this text, you will hear the word of God through this amazing document. We will take this amazing journey together and learn why this text is not an official book of the Bible.

Historia
A predecessor to such monumental works such as Crime and Punishment and The Brothers Karamazov, Notes From Underground represents a turning point in Dostoyevsky's writing towards the more political side.
In this work, we follow the unnamed narrator of the story, who, disillusioned by the oppression and corruption of the society in which he lives, withdraws from that society into the underground.

Dostoyevsky is a dear favorite of mime. I love his books, and I love the theology behind them. Crime and Punishment is still my favorite, along with The Brothers Karamosov. But this book's treatment of a lost man rambling on, feeliing at once his own folly, but powerless before it, is a great reminder oof what we all are without Christ.

Historia
The Apostle Paul gave the Gospel the first place in his preaching, endeavored with all his might to proclaim it clearly, and even went so far as to pronounce a curse upon all those who would pervert its truth. Yet how sad it is that many, even among those considering themselves evangelicals, have reduced the Gospel message to a few trite statements to be repeated and view conversion as a mere human decision.
