A bit harsh on some questions.

A bit harsh on some questions.
Revisado: 10-29-19
As Doctor Hawkins got older, he released so much of his own stuff that you could tell he was impatient with people who had questions relative to their own path to healing /enlightenment, including some were even suicidal and I felt he was a little bit too hard on them telling him to get over themselves, to stop feeling sorry for themselves. and for some paths, coming from harsh upbringings like abuse, its life altering and they need compassion they don't need to be talked down at like they're going through nothing significant.
I do love him but as he got older he became really short on patience.

Historia
As a young theology student, Harold Kushner puzzled over the Book of Job. As a small-town rabbi he counseled other people through pain and grief. But not until he learned that his three-year-old son, Aaron, would die in his early teens of a rare disease did he confront one of life's most difficult questions: Where do we find the resources to cope when tragedy strikes?

I needed to hear this.
Revisado: 05-06-19
Like most people, I have struggled with wondering why God lets bad things happen to good people, how families are damaged and one can easily become embittered and hurt and live their lives hurt, or they can pick up and try to make things better, despite the pain. This book gave me the encouragement to let go of the attachment of things we cannot change that happens to families and to move forward to living your life with love and forgiveness, forgiving even God, for things that He had no control over. Forgiving even our viewpoint of God and his role when bad things happen to good people.
The the author didn't drag out his points it was a short read, 30 minutes and I think everyone should take the time to think about what the Author says.

NO MORE EXCUSES!
Revisado: 07-20-18
I'm 58 and have been writing on and off for 11 years, a memoir of growing up during the Vietnam War IN Vietnam. My dad was a private contractor for USAID, my mom Thai. I spoke with a book store owner about my story and she told me to get off my ass and finish it, people need to hear my story! so I just finished listening to you on Audible an have jumped back in to writing! I thought the inspiration had all but disappeared, but it hadn't.
I don't know a thing about finding a good publisher or even how to protect my work, but I'm just writing for now, I didn't even want to go-to work this morning because I was so in to writing, I couldn't put down the words fast enough !
Thanks so much for the reminders I needed to not second guess myself.
