What a loss, I know most of you feel like me… losing Perry (Chandler) is like losing a family member.
Revisado: 11-03-23
We grew up with him, hung out with him on Thursday nights, cried with him (proposing to Monica got all of us), laughed with him, laughed at him (the cabinet hitting him while cuffed gets me every time), and loved him for ten years and even after.
So, it’s hard to hear how much pain he was in during his height of fame, but it is a comfort to know he was sober during every episode of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Matthew Perry was the funniest actor on the show and probably one of the funniest humans to ever live, but he carried so many demons, like most comedic geniuses do.
I loved Chandler and Joey, my entire middle school wardrobe was based off those two characters. I wanted to be as charismatic as Chandler, look like Joey, and have Ross’ heart (and Rachel of course). But, unfortunately I ended up with Chandler’s luck with women, Joey’s quirkiness, and Ross’ ability to over analyze everything.
There was a time in the Nineties when F.R.I.E.N.D.S was as big as Elvis in the Fifties, every person on Earth knew who Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Joey, and Chandler were. I think it could be argued that his character made that show in the first few seasons, Chandler’s sarcasm and wit became an iconic part of 90’s culture… I mean, could he have been more funny?
This book takes us through Perry’s interesting upbringing in Canada and L.A to his rise to superstardom as Chandler Bing, he opens up about his struggle with opiate addiction, and he never holds back talking about any of it. Perry is as brutally honest and truthful as a person can be about their problems and flaws, and that’s pretty rare for the Hollywood crowd.
Yet, the biggest takeaway from this book is how it became a final goodbye before his untimely death. It’s heartbreaking to know the man reading this to us, opening his soul to us, Chandler Bing is gone now and forever. Thankfully we’ll always have his legacy on F.R.I.E.N.D.S, something that became incredibly important to him over the years, and luckily a legacy like that lives forever.

Revisado: 06-25-22
The first time I listened to this I’ll admit, I didn’t pick up on how woke it was. But now a few years later and listening again I realized, this audiobook may be the wokest crap I’ve heard. Skip it if you don’t want to be preached to by some far left nut.

Great story in the same world as “Times Like These.”
Revisado: 06-11-22
I really enjoy Nathan Van Coop’s “Times Like These” audiobooks. I was hoping he’d do another with the main character, but instead we got a new series starring his son… who is even more badass so far (other than his rant on climate). I have enjoyed both audiobooks and I’m looking forward to the next one. My only worry is Nathan will go political like most of my former favorite authors have, leaving me with less and less to listen to or read. I definitely had no interest in the side series featuring a female protagonist, so hopefully he keeps writing good ol’ fashion stories like this with a traditional male protagonist and female love interest.

Overrated and a bit pretentious (very liberal), but interesting
Revisado: 08-25-19
So, I heard about this book for awhile and finally decided to give it a listen. I expected it to be some deep, meaningful experience based on the reviews, maybe something on par with Cosmic Consciousness. Instead it’s a love story between a female Death and a guy who can’t get his sh*t straight. No big revelations or points to ponder, just hey we’re all living in the same bowl of soup so be kind and rewind. If I could sum this book up in one sentence it would be, “If at first you don’t succeed, try try again.”

Amazing... EPIC! Please don’t change a thing!
Revisado: 05-26-19
I have purchased every book in this series and let me tell you this is the best book series around! I throughly enjoy listening to Ben’s time traveling adventures and when I hit listen I cannot put it down. The stories are gripping, fun, frightening, adventurous, and full of suspense and hope (it’s a MUST READ). Before this book I was a little hesitant about Mim’s character (Ben’s girlfriend), she came off very clingy and hard on a guy like him, which seemed out of character for a guy like Ben to tolerate. But after listening to “The Wrap Clock” I finally understand Mim and why she had so many strange hang ups and stressed out so much, although she could have communicated this to Ben a bit earlier in their adventures lol. Anyway, now I love all the characters, but none more than Ben and Carson. Please Nathan (coming from a huge fan here) don’t change anything about Ben or who the main character is in the next books... the series is perfect already sir. I’m really hoping for another Chronothon story, but set in the future and featuring a team up between Ben and Carson’s team of Bounty Hunters, how awesome would that be! I would love to hear Nathan’s take on future tech and that world, also maybe back to the 80’s and even 90’s (GRUNGE!). Can’t wait for book 5, keep up the amazing work Nathan, you’re a great writer.
OS: Loved the new family Ben has and hoping he gets a son too!

Great series except for... Mim.
Revisado: 05-15-19
Great story, have read all the books so far, but my God the female lead is just atrocious. Nathan has written the most needy, pain in the ***, insane female in literature. Then Ben who is this bad*** just looses his mind when this girl is around and acts like a obsessed stalker, completely out of character. I hope he cuts her out in the next book.

Historia
Ever since Martin Banks and his fellow computer geeks discovered that reality is just a computer program to be happily hacked, they've been jaunting back and forth through time, posing as medieval wizards and having the epic adventures that other nerds can only dream of having. But even in their wildest fantasies, they never expected to end up at the mercy of the former apprentice whom they sent to prison for gross misuse of magic and all-around evil behavior.

Book is nothing but feminist propaganda.
Revisado: 08-20-17
His first two books were good and I really enjoyed them. But this... I don't know what happen in this authors life during the course of writing this book, but it is nothing but feminist propaganda the whole listen. If you want SJW views thrown in your face against the backdrop of a medieval world, well this book's for you. I'm not interested in listening to women act the exact way they are condemning men for. This is some bias, hypocritical sh*!, and it's pretty disturbing that this writer has been brainwashed into thinking this way. Just do some research into who he is married to and the timeline, and you'll understand the change in his writing style and views. It's a shame because I guarantee this weak, man servant cr*p is going to cost him some fans.
