Historia
In the conclusion of the Poseidon's Children saga, the Akinya family receives an invitation from across the stars - and a last opportunity to redeem their name.... "Send Ndege". The cryptic message originated 70 light-years away from the planet Crucible, where Ndege Akinya lives under permanent house arrest for her role in the catastrophe that killed 417,000 people. Could it be from her mother, Chiku, who vanished during a space expedition decades earlier?

It's not the story - it's the narrator
Revisado: 09-17-23
I need to return this. This narrator is horrible. Cannot stand her. She is OK with the main characters, but the rest is like childrens book witches. Horrible. Combine that with a slow story and I am out. Sorry.

After 400 hours of listening to A.R. - the best
Revisado: 04-23-23
I listen to A.R. space operas for the last 3 years. I find them quite amusing. Bu they also often are hard to keep concentrated on. So most of the time I only follow 50% of the book narrative. This was is different altogether. This is the best I had listened to,
First the narrator is different, more engaging, the British and Scottish and Spanish accents are wonderful. The characters themselves are extremely like-able. Other may disagree and I do have no literature background, but I interpret this story also as a lesson to what makes us human. The robot mind Silas overcomes grows and creates a consciousness that ultimately helps him leave the ship to rescue his friend. Then there is also the story of love with his companion Ada at the end. Most of the time I need to listen to A.R. space novels again, because I only get half of what's going on. This one I will listen again, because I enjoyed it so much.

I sometimes worry about the cohort Audible has me
Revisado: 06-19-22
I sometimes worry, not only about what I am listening to, but also why Audible recommends me stuff. this is lowest of the lowest. it's even lower than a beach novel. it sounds like a teenager wrote it and the bad narration makes it even more dire. I guess I use this as my jumping board. can only get better from here

Weak with the last 2 hours a torture
Revisado: 01-06-18
What would have made The Punch Escrow better?
It starts promising but then drags on and on and on. Boring to the point where the last 2 hours are just so boring I used it to fall asleep.
What could Tal M. Klein have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Maybe expect your readers to be a bit smarter and not drag on obvious plots.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Matthew Mercer?
he is not a bad narrator, but bit very expressive and in combination with this boring nightmare just a drag

Historia
When a sudden impact sends a spacecraft bound for a distant research station hurtling toward a previously unseen and inexplicable planet, responsibility for the safety of its passengers immediately falls on Ivy 'Holly' Wood, a former poster child of the public space program now fleeing Earth's tyrannical leadership. The mysterious planet's startlingly Earth-like atmosphere initially breeds optimism among Holly's group of stranded survivors, but before long it becomes clear that Earth's rules don't apply.

"RECOMMENDED" is to push the stuff no one wants?
Revisado: 07-09-17
What could Craig A. Falconer have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
It has about the speed of a autobiography. Maybe he should write these in the future.
How could the performance have been better?
This is an artificially stretched out book if you ask me.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
NO redeeming qualities
Any additional comments?
I am more than half in and nothing really happened so far. All that did could have been explained in 1 chapter. Wow is that boring.....
