Oh, How I Wish We Could Have A President, and United States Like the End of This!
Revisado: 04-01-25
I had trouble getting into this book at the beginning, but soon I was captured and had trouble putting it down. This story is very well written. Thank you, Mr. President! Thank you, James Patterson! A good who-done-it puzzle, suspenseful, and enough truth to make the story feel real and believable. It would be nice if America could be like the description given in the end dialog. That would be some kind of wonderful United States of America.
We can only hope.

When God Makes Things Right
Revisado: 03-03-25
By the time the story reached the dance. I was getting tired of Anna's attitude towards Mark. I was happy with the finally much needed attitude adjustment. The story is well written an enjoyable read. I think this is one of C. J. Petit's best. I liked the pace (for the most part) of how Mark's tale unfolds. We always like a happy endings for the characters. A sequel would be an enjoyable read.

Historia
In a country town, an arsonist is burning homes down. Their signature move is placing an identical model of the house on the front porch before setting the fire. But no one is there to witness this in the silence of each dark winter night. A happy couple is out celebrating their anniversary when they receive a chilling phone call—a recorded children's verse warning them their house is on fire and their children are gone. They race home to an inferno and missing children.

The Burning Rooms Surprise Ending
Revisado: 09-10-24
Good story and series. Looking forward to the next book in the series. Good story pace throughout. A lot of strong characters and Anni Taylor has done a great job of character developments. Always enjoy finding out the answers within the police cases as the story unfolds. I was surprised in the end of the "who done it." It was definitely not who I thought it was.

Good Read
Revisado: 09-06-24
I like how every thing is wrapped up. I enjoyed the story. Only one criticism, the American accent was horrible. The reader made the American characters sound like hicks. Though, I don't think that was the intent.

Historia
It's Dr. Kay Scarpetta's birthday, and she's about to head to Miami for a vacation with Benton Wesley, her FBI profiler husband, when she notices seven pennies on a wall behind their Cambridge house. Is this a kids' game? If so, why are all of the coins dated 1981 and so shiny they could be newly minted? Her cellphone rings, and Detective Pete Marino tells her there's been a homicide five minutes away. A high school music teacher has been shot with uncanny precision as he unloaded groceries from his car.

Revisado: 08-11-24
This series of Kay Scarpetta has some of the best who-done-it mysteries in books that I've read. They do not disappoint. I love all the twists and turns woven within the story. Red Mist is one of my favorites by Patricia Cornwell. I'm excited to read the next book on the series.

Despite the large number of saloons and ever-changing population, Joe and Faith were comfortable living in Idaho City. They had a nice home, and hoped to raise Sam and Katie in the town even after the gold was gone. But those expectations were dashed when a sequence of unrelated events forced them to leave Idaho Territory.

Great Story!
Revisado: 05-20-24
Excellent tale of an aspiring singer, songwriter, and musician. Loaded with drama, suspence, tragedy, backwoods life hinting, humor, happiness, kindness, love, joy and hope. Frustration that the truth is not told, but understand that fear is a great driver. This ia good paced story that lets you feel all the emotions of the characters. A well told tale! I would be interested in a sequel story telling of Anne Lee and Ethan's future experiences and also the lives of Rose's sisters. Something to think on, Dolly and James.

Historia
The scheduled train from Granger was overdue by three hours. He’d suspected a mechanical breakdown or maybe even a derailment. But the engineer of the next train to use that track had just reported that he hadn’t found any signs of the train. He had no idea how an entire train could simply vanish, but as he pondered the mystery, the head telegrapher came to his office and showed him a telegram that had been sent to Union Pacific headquarters. It was a ransom demand for $100,000.

Historia
It was summer in the mountains when five small children vanished from their nursery school picnic. The heat was stifling that day, the tinkle of an ice-cream van in the air.... Three-and-a-half years later, in the dead of winter, the children are returned to their families...one by one. All except for Ivy - the granddaughter of Homicide Detective Kate Wakeland. The other four children say Ivy is dead.
