Historia
In The Anxious Generation, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt lays out the facts about the epidemic of teen mental illness that hit many countries at the same time. He then investigates the nature of childhood, including why children need play and independent exploration to mature into competent, thriving adults. Haidt shows how the “play-based childhood” began to decline in the 1980s, and how it was finally wiped out by the arrival of the “phone-based childhood” in the early 2010s.

Historia
We long for a good life, a beautiful life, a kind life. But clearly that’s not the world we live in. How did we lose goodness, kindness, and beauty? And more important, how do we get them back into our lives? These are the two questions crying out in our streets, homes, churches, and from deep within our souls. Pastor and author Rich Villodas is convinced that only Jesus offers a way of being human that is both strong and tender enough to tear down the walls of hostility we experience daily.

Pertinent, relevant and courageously written!
Revisado: 09-11-22
I realized that living in a fragmented world requires wisdom and above all, much love to be able to confront our own feelings and points of view, as well as listening and validate others who may think quite differently than we do. Without this effort to offer love in a very broken and divided world, we run the risk of becoming enemies without any possibility of making any connection worth the effort. This book is extremely challenging ,well-written, and filled with relevant examples of what works and doesn't work. I founded it difficult to put it down or in my case stop listening to it. I have already purchased a second book previously written by the same author. I strongly recommend it to anyone and everyone who is concerned as people of good will, Christians or anyone genuinely concerned with the presence of divisions which threaten our survival. How it is that we can more effectively continue to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in a fragmented world if we do not face our vulnerability with courage vision and determination to make a positive difference, one person at a time. God bless you.

Very revealing to hear stories which sound very much like my story and like ths story of everyone I ever met, read about, and specially that of my best friends and as well as those of my worst enemies. Finding out about the real me and you in most pages is refreshing. There is hope and healing when truth and facts join forces to combat deceptiveness and falsehood!

Most promising news for Christianity's future.
Revisado: 11-04-21
Listened to the book twice, the second time with family members. We were challenged and encouraged by the author's perspective on a Christianity focused more on Christ's irriligious message then on institutional upkeep. This pastor's criticisim is positive and is born from the inside of his long church experience and love for the believers who make up the church (Body of Christ)! Bought a Kindle copy to read and reflect further on this hopeful message.

In this energizing book, serial entrepreneur and best-selling author Jordan Raynor helps artists, entrepreneurs, writers, and other creatives re-imagine our work as service to God and others, addressing such penetrating questions as: Is my work as a creative really as God-honoring as that of a pastor or missionary? Stunning...a wonderful listen...a handbook for life. Those words of advance praise from another celebrated author scarcely convey just how powerfully mesmerizing is the latest book by New York Times best-selling author and nationally syndicated radio talk show host Larry Elder. Dear Father, Dear Son is a personal memoir of Elder's troubled - one might even say tortured - relationship with his father, and the astonishing outcome that develops when Elder, at long last, confronts him.

Historia
Malcolm Muggeridge contends that Christendom is quite different from Christianity. Christ said, "My kingdom is very much a part of this world, and thus subject to decay and eventual ruin." In this book, Muggeridge explores the prevailing downfall of Christendom. However, contrary to our natural impulse to mourn this, Muggeridge makes a cogent and convincing argument that now is a time to rejoice.

Historia
In Holy Disunity: How What Separates Us Can Save Us, Layton E. Williams proposes that our primary calling as humans is not to create unity but rather to seek authentic relationship with God, ourselves, one another, and the world around us. And that means actively engaging those with whom we disagree. Our religious, political, social, and cultural differences can create doubt and tension, but disunity also provides surprising gifts of perspective and grace.
