Loved the small town intrigue. The characters. Hoag really gets into motivations. But, Hilary Hubers reading is just sublime. Her erformamce of Hoag's dialogues is captivating. You are right there in the room with Nick Fourcade

a good character dies. Flawed but ultimately good. That was a shocker. I was not satisfied by the final ending - there are a few. But, one of the best I have hear for plot and performance.

I am sorry but this is ... a poorly constructed story. A series of mediocre pastiches hung together to create a vaguely entertaining narrative. The ending ... does not even occur. Dear Mr Murray, we do not know each other, and I am but an avid reader; this is a poorly constructed narrative with a totally unsatisfactory conclusion. I hazard to say a poor novel from a naive author ...
