Ilea likes punching things. And eating. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many career options for hungry brawlers. Instead, the plan is to quit her crappy fast-food job, go to college, and become a fully functioning member of society. Essentially—a fate worse than death.

The story was ok until the author decided add in gays. Thank God it was kept to a minimum. I would've gave the story 5 stars otherwise.

too much time spent on mechanics
Revisado: 05-24-22
just like most of the authors in this genre, way too much time was spent on the mechanics and thinking about strategies and not enough action and store development.

Historia
What does the most powerful wizard in the world do after the war? Despite the hordes of goblins still ready to ravage human lands, King Rard has signed a treaty with them, so Minalan is forbidden from taking advantage of their weak state. Most would take a well-deserved rest over the summer…but Minalan and his household are busy repaying a favor owed to the tribal Kasari for their help in the war, and the Spellmonger pays his debts. So Minalan spends his summer sneaking 2,000 Kasari children through enemy lines and some of the roughest territory in the Five Duchies toward salvation.

Another great story
Revisado: 09-22-19
It always seems that the spell monger books should be too long and boring but when listening they often don't feel long enough. The narrator is perfect for the role. I'm just glad I don't have to wait for the next book.

Good try but no cigar
Revisado: 10-31-16
The story had lots of action but was ultimately disappointing. The hero was empty and pathetic, caring more for a woman who had kicked him to the curb 5 years prior than friends who risked their lives and saved his ass every day, not to mention the hundreds of innocent people her actions killed. Furthermore the narrator wasn't emotionally invested enough to bring some life to the story. I just don't like whining, p___y whipped men. Furthermore the bad guys were lacking in reason and conviction. Why kill a room full of people when clearly the hero could care less? Why waste energy and power destroying whole city blocks when you just kill your enemies without breaking a sweat ? I don't know if I will be listening to the next book. ... but probably not.

She's a paranormal private eye and grim reaper-in-training who's known to be a bit of a hell-raiser, especially after a few shots of caffeine. Her beloved Reyes may be the only begotten son of evil, but he's dark and sultry and deeply sexy and everything Charley could hope for. Really. But when the FBI file on Reyes' childhood happens to land into her lap, she can't help herself: She opens it...and then the real fun begins.

The story line could be more interesting if the author spent less time making Charlie out to be an airhead idiot. The narration is spot on and the saving grace.

Historia
Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

Great for the money.
Revisado: 02-22-12
Where does Hounded rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Ok
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
A little more regard for human life. It's hard to see someone as a good guy who cares more about his dog than innocent victims.
Which scene was your favorite?
The end
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
The dog stole the show
Any additional comments?
The narrator was great
