Historia
The young man with the shock of white-blond hair lay spread-eagled on the floor, surrounded by fallen books. His hand reached out to the scattered pages, as though he was trying to tell her something. But who is he? How did he come to be killed in Flora’s ordinary little bookshop? Flora finds out he was staying at the Priory Hotel, and when the gardener suddenly dies in its beautiful grounds only a few days later, she is certain that something untoward is happening in her quiet village by the sea.

Didn’t grab my attention
Revisado: 02-10-25
The repetitions were annoying. The storyline started well and soon after a few chapters, I completely lost interest. I struggled to keep listening, hoping there would be a twist to the plot but it never happened. The narration bored me to death. All the characters are read on pretty much the same tone. Flora is annoying at times.
I will not be getting that series.

Historia
On January 6, 2021, Donald Trump incited a violent mob to storm the US Capitol in attempts to overturn the presidential election. It was a betrayal of our Constitution, and one of the darkest days in recent history. Yet to former congressman Adam Kinzinger it was also the culmination of a cultural and political rupture he’d long seen coming. Constructive criticism from within the Republican Party was no longer enough. It was time to stand up, even if it meant betraying his own party.

Good storyline, but…
Revisado: 01-08-23
I enjoyed the story but Erin Bennett made “Armand Darcy sound like a Parisian! I am French-Canadian and we don’t remotely speak English like Parisians do. It was annoying to hear. In previous reviews, I said I was not a fan of Erin Bennett because all the characters sound the same. To me, the narration could make the story even more interesting.

Historia
The sisters of Gwenafwy Abbey have cherished their contemplative life - days spent in prayer, reflection, tending the convent's vegetable gardens and making their award-winning organic cheese, Heavenly Gouda. Life seems perfect, except for Sister Agatha, a die-hard mystery fan who despairs of ever finding any real life inspiration for her own novel. That is, until the abbey's sexton is found dead under an avalanche of gouda. Despite the reservations of the local constable, Sister Agatha is convinced it's murder and the game is afoot.

Longuest 7-hour book…
Revisado: 10-07-22
I was anxious to listen to this book and start a new series. I was disappointed as, after 3 chapters, I was already bored. There are lot of details about the countryside, the occupation of each nun and, to my opinion too much rambling about things that does not lead us to the actual crime. A murder is committed and 4 chapters later, one still wonders when someone will start an investigation.
Sister Agatha is neurotic and thinks there a clues in everybody’s actions and words.
I definitely will not continue with this series. Not for me.

Not For Me
Revisado: 05-30-22
Predictable. Seems like it takes forever to get to where something happens. The characters are plain. As for Wanda McCaddon’s performance, I would not give it more than 2 stars. The way of impersonating a few the characters made me grind my teeth.
