Good - but a bit tacky
Revisado: 03-25-20
I didn't dislike the novel, but it is laying a lot of groundwork for next book in the series, therefore I will carry it on, it just felt a little forced at times, like the author really was trying to convince you of the story and why the protagonist is doing what he's doing but it was cool to have the story be relatable in terms of location/setting - and brings a lot of real spots/locations out for the reader. I look forward to the next book.

Kind of like a Frank Castle/Punisher Feel
Revisado: 03-14-20
I enjoyed this story. I like the narrator and the book itself, but I am not gonna lie, it felt like i was reading the punisher comic books. That's not a bad thing, it just wasn't what I was originally expected. That being said, I am glad I came upon it!

Historia
Terrorists-for-hire have created a weapon that can induce earthquakes and cause dormant volcanoes to erupt. One terrifying side effect of the weapon is that prior to the devastation, the vibrations drive ordinary people to suicide and violence. A wave of madness begins sweeping the country beginning with a mass shooting in Congress. Joe Ledger and his team go on a wild hunt to stop the terrorists and uncover the global superpower secretly funding them. At every step the stakes increase as it becomes clear that the endgame of this campaign of terror is igniting the Yellowstone caldera.

Not sure why people are so against this...
Revisado: 02-25-20
This is a great touch to Maberrys ledger novel and it makes a ton of sense. It’s had to grow and adapt much like the DMS has had to the ever changing environment.

I enjoyed it
Revisado: 05-21-19
I do think there is a lot to be said about this title, the stoicism and approach that the actual character takes in his life. He makes mistakes, he owns them, he doesn't back down from them or let them decide. He is more of an idealogic than what the criminal system dictates. He is about respect and standing up for yourself.
I do believe the story was a little lackluster, but again as the author is a blogger it is easier to seperate the type of style. I loved the book and the outlaw justice he employs.
I honestly am bothered by some of the criticisms here, because I feel like everyone doesn't listen or read the first part of the book that the stories need to be changed in order to protect the actual underlying characters or parties involved. However people are nitpicking facts like they physically can. Either way thats normal for this type of work but I did enjoy the book.

Historia
It was a typical evening at a mall outside Portland, Maine. Three teenage friends waited for the movie to start. A boy flirted with the girl selling sunglasses. Mothers and children shopped together, and the manager at the video game store tended to customers. Then the shooters arrived. The chaos and carnage lasted only eight minutes before the killers were taken down. But for those who lived through it, the effects would last forever.

Good but drags
Revisado: 01-03-19
Story began great and strong but then begins to trail off. Understandably so based off the plot but it kind of turns into a romance.
I fell in love with CeCe but I came in for thriller, and got a little more romantic/love interest based than I anticipated.

Historia
When David Caine, a celebrated skeptic of the supernatural, is invited by an old friend to spend a month in “the most haunted house in Virginia,” he believes the case will be like any other. But the Alexander House is different. Built by a 1700s land baron to contain the madness and depravity of his eldest son, the house is plagued by shadows of the past and the lingering taint of bloodshed. David is haunted, as well. For 22 years ago, he turned away the woman he loved, and she took her life in sorrow. And David suspects she’s followed him to the Alexander House.

Tough to Follow at Times, but Good Story
Revisado: 11-15-18
I didn't entirely buy into this story from the onset because the main character is a bit antisocial and tough to follow. However, it is clear as the story progresses that the story gets better. I did enjoy the story but it is a bit unrealistic at times as well and almost too perfect.

Revisado: 11-14-18
As worth the novels and performances the book is great and a good build off but with all a little far fetched but that’s what makes it special. I love the novels and the introduction of #ghost #herodog. I do think there is some tweaking but there are elements and information you should listen closely too! #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Joe needs a tv/movie spinoff
Revisado: 11-14-18
I gotta say I am huge fan of theLedger novels and the unsung hero in ghost. #herodog this is a good story but sets up like a love triangle that makes a few books confusing and then kills the plot line weirdly to bring it back. That being said definitely a good story with some good content to question that is consistent with Maberry writings. #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Practically overnight, the fragile chains of supply and high-technology infrastructure fall, and wholesale rioting and looting grip every major city.

More like a timeline and build up of events
Revisado: 08-07-18
It felt a little lackluster, not because the formal book was bad - but it was more like a timeline of events being undertaken and the end result and way things are carried out seems almost too practical and unrealistic. It seems like literally everything fell into place and these people were prepared, when in reality you can plan all you want but you cannot anticipate other people's actions.
It was a good story but just not what i expected.
