No matter how great you are at finding real estate deals, you could lose everything if you don’t manage your properties correctly. However, being a landlord doesn’t have to mean middle-of-the-night phone calls, costly evictions, or daily frustrations with ungrateful tenants. Being a landlord can be fun - but only if you do it right!

Great information and excellent read.

There are 1 million books on real estate investing, but this is one. I’ll keep close by. Not everything applies to everyone but I found this extremely useful. I even bought the hardcopy book to highlight. Lots of areas that I’ll be referring back to frequently.

Of all the opportunities to invest and make money, bond investing is likely one of the most neglected. Stocks are the get-rich investment, hyped by Wall Street and favored by investors. Commodities are widely used to hedge risk and to gamble on price changes. Even real estate is more widely held for its cash flow and other benefits.

1. The narration is really bad. It sounds like someone reading a text book for the first time. The narrator stumbles and stammers through the whole book. I kept thinking…why not just pause and re-record when you misspeak. I was surprised to find the author narrated it himself. Had he even read his own book!? It’s only 1+ hrs so would it be that hard to record it again. Definitely the sloppiest read I’ve listened to so far.
2. This is less a step by step investment guide and more a glossary of terms. If that’s what you’re looking for there are better options. Some information is suspect but maybe it is simply outdated and obsolete. Other information is actually incorrect though I understood what he was saying and it could just be poorly phrased or misspoken. Still other information I simply disagree with but that’s more of an opinion about some strategy (though mine is shared more widely with more reputable industry experts).
Overall this is really not helpful unless you know zero about bonds. As in - if you dont know the difference in a stock and a bond level. If you have even a beginners interest in bonds this will be largely a waste of time.
I paid $4.86 for the book but I’m submitting it for a refund. It’s definitely a poor first impression and I wouldn’t buy any other titles from this author. Especially if it’s self narrated.
Swing and a miss on this one.

Not the best. Annoying narration.
Revisado: 02-23-23
As a property investor with two properties under my belt and always looking to learn and invest more, I found this book only okay. I picked up a couple tips but most of this information is common sense. The narration was terrible. There are lots of website references and this books for at cites the references in the text rather than at the end and the narrator literally reads the websites letter by letter. It makes the audible a little tough to get through. This one isn’t on my must read/listen too list for investors. If I had the hard copy it would be in the donate back pile. Win some, lose some.

There are indeed many opportunities in the world of real estate, but not all succeed. Many people think that investing in foreclosed properties has too many requirements and risks to the point that they withdraw their efforts without even understanding the pros and cons. But, with a few powerful strategies and the proper application, you can be sure to earn money from foreclosure investing.

Reads like a dictionary.
Revisado: 02-01-23
At best, this book offers a cursory list of definitions. For someone with ZERO knowledge or simply doing research it might be okay. For investors, even beginners or novices, it is basically a list of terms and definitions that are largely going to feel like common knowledge or information you already know. Not a great book for those who are looking for real world examples and serious about getting into this field. As an investor with two properties and looking for my next, this was not extremely beneficial and certainly not a most read. Surprised at the high reviews. Narrator has a heavy British accent (if that bothers you). Doesn’t seem like much of the information is more than basic and may not apply in all states and counties. Maybe this wasn’t meant to apply to all the US - if so I missed that in the description.
