I enjoyed the world, though I wish I'd been the editor and advised to pull back from the super detailed paramedic details. A story isn't a detailed manual. But underneath the details is a good story. An interesting turn of supernatural events. It's a good story and I will continue to listen. But the narration is not doing any favors. No inflection and it's a shame. This has such promise...

Loved this collection! Interesting stories and good clear author voices. Not my usual fare, but perfect after listening to several omnibus collections. Narrator is top drawer and has incredible range. I recommend this whole heartedly.

Love this series! I'm a zompoc enthusiast anyway, but this series is superb. Humanity is a rough ask in the zompoc, survival has a way of getting in the way of just about everything else. This series balances beautifully.

Kyla is a terrific storyteller, giving you enough to keep you right there. Then when you take a breath, she presses the gas again. Everything you want in a great story. I still can't believe what I don't know three books in! Narration is spot on consistent and paced perfectly. I have to know what happens next!
