Historia
Just as the Hebrews were slaves in Egypt, we have become slaves to technology. Our technological tools allow 24-hour productivity and connectivity, give us more control, and subtly enslave us to busyness itself. The Sabbath is about restraint, about intentionally not doing everything all the time just because we can. Setting aside a day of rest helps us reconnect with our Creator and find the peace of God that passes all understanding.

Life changing!
Revisado: 10-12-22
I have been inspired to begin keeping a Sabbath. I think other readers (listeners) will appreciate, like I did, that the author doesn't belittle or shame anyone (even Christians) for not already recognizing Sabbath, but encourages us with the incomparable benefits of the gift of the Sabbath.

Beautiful!
Revisado: 08-07-22
Because I know Tabitha (as much as anyone can know a person they've never met), I knew that I would enjoy this book. I had no idea how much I would enjoy it and how much it would inspire me. "Tab" (I'm on a monosyllabic name basis with her in my head), makes me smile with joy every time I hear her speak. I pray for continued blessings for her, because she can be trusted to bless others with them.

Historia
A masterpiece of satire, this classic has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life and foibles from the vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to "Our Father Below". At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, C.S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise old Devil to his nephew, Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man.

Screwtape again for the first time!
Revisado: 08-24-21
I have read The Screwtape Letters twice, but having this book narrated to me was a truly remarkable experience! I have recommended it in its book firm for years; I will undoubtedly recommend the audio book.I fully expect to enjoy it again.

For centuries Christians have been tormented by one question above all, "If God is good and all-powerful, why does he allow his creatures to suffer pain?"

Enlightening
Revisado: 02-02-21
An almost exhaustive approach to all aspects of pain. I find that the author left no stone unturned as he addressed every question and assumption of pain, even some of the most implausible. Well done.
I appreciate how the reader had an accent similar to one I would attribute to the author.
