A Touching and Entertaining Book
Revisado: 03-11-12
What made the experience of listening to War Horse the most enjoyable?
I loved that the story was from the horse's point of view. I was quickly invested in the story and it moved along at a good pace.
What did you like best about this story?
An interesting aspect of the story is how the main character, Joey, felt about the people who were riding and taking care of him. He was always fair and practical in his valuations of people. A very likable character. I also loved all the little side-stories that happened as a result of all the things Joey went through.
Which character – as performed by John Keating – was your favorite?
Joey was hands-down my favorite character, followed by David, his owner.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
After Joey went to war, I couldn't stop listening.
Any additional comments?
John Keating did a wonderful job narrating this book.

Historia
Jane Eyre remains a classic of 19th-century English literature and is the most famous and influential novel by Charlotte Bronte. Published in 1847, one of the most popular of all English novels, the story tells of the rise of a poor orphan girl against overwhelming odds. It is a work of fiction with memorable characters and vivid scenes exploring themes that have as much relevance today as in the time it was written.

Couldn't Put It Down
Revisado: 01-12-11
I think Lucy Scott did an excellent job narrating this book. It is, of course, a wonderful book. One of my all-time favorites. She was wonderfully consistent and pleasant to listen to. Her accent was perfect and easily understood. I definitely got more out of listening to the book than I did reading it years ago. A great audio version! Highly recommended!
