One of Camille Pagan's best.

I've read several of her books. Her wit and humor are always refreshing. This one had a deeper and intense edge to it and so very real to anyone dealing with dementia or has a suffering family member. Even with the humor and aught, she gives the mom dignity and acceptance.

Not as captivating as Wheeler's other writings.

Struggled to remain focused on this one. In some ways, it just too similar to his other stories. He didn't flesh out characters as well. The series stl has hope though.

Captivates the heart

This story quickly captures the heart. With grace and strength and beauty it portrays the era of slavery, not so much detail in the physical hardship as the hearts of the people and the realization of one woman that the standards they lived by were cruel. She discovered the truth that we all love and hurt and dream the same.

Too disjointed and confusing.

Not McKenzie's best work. it was hard to get connected with the characters. They were incomplete. it was difficult to keep track of the varying stories. it's like she started with a story idea that had promise but didnt get it all in order or fleshed out. I do not recommend this book.

A story of redemption, healing, and forgiveness that pierces the heart. The author explains forgiveness so simply and beautifully that the hardest heart can understand.

A Delightful Surprise

Honestly, i was delightfully surprised by this book. The story faces the difficulties and realities of faith, racial tensions, social justice, death, honesty, redemption, forgiveneness, and ultimately, the need for community to come together for all of that. I expected just another Quaker romance and family story but entered into so much more. I laughed out loud and wept, even as I ached for wrongs to be righted. This is not a predictable happy ending story as so many are, but opened the idea of what my part is in ongoing tensions even if didn't cause them. Definitely a story worth reading or hearing. The reader Bahni Turpin narrated the story eloquently. Her southern accent and expression drew me into the drama or humor of each moment.

Wonderful story!

Charles Martin has done it again. He always captures the essence of grace and the love of God. In "A Life Intercepted" he captured the consequences of blame and unforgiveness, the desperate need to be forgiven, as well as the amazing blessing of true forgiveness for all in the story. Such a poignant portrayal pf each and every character. I also loved that he shared his own personal experience in grace and forgiveness to his son and his audience. CO'S writing is truly gifted. His stories never dusappoint.

Powerful, inspiring, and reviving.

What does Priscilla Shirer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

It's as if you were in the room. It's so personal and her voice is so strong and powerful. You can't help but be drawn in. I love when authors read their own books!

Any additional comments?

This is a must read if you want to renew and revive your prayer life. Her honest truths reveal so clearly how Satan uses our wounds and our emotions to draw us away from God. This is a great teaching resource!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, because I wanted time to digest different portions and some of the poignant truths she shared and reflect on how her words resonated in my own life.

Beautifully written and poignantly honest as she shared her journey of falling away and being drawn back to the Savior and His church. Amber C. Haines narrated her writing so beautifully and authentically, as if we were in the same room.

Francine Rivers never disappoints and always mirrors scripture in her stories. The narrator was also excellent.
