Historia
FBI Agent Jake Carlisle is in deep trouble. While undercover he's been shot, but he's not sure if it's the crooks or local cops behind it. Worse, if he can't get help fast, two lives will be lost - his and that of the young witness, a boy whom he's sworn to protect. On the run from both the police and the Russian Mafia, Jake will do anything to save the child at his side, even something illegal. In desperation he kidnaps a nurse from a hospital parking lot.

True to the Game
Revisado: 10-13-20
This is the first time I have tried to read this author. It will be the last. The language and the constant use of the term Nigger was more than I could take. I realize that in the black culture they use these words. This book or the 4 chapters I listened to made me angry.

This is a surprisingly good book.
Revisado: 01-19-19
I like Lisa Gardner as a writer. Her books usually
have mystery, a crime of some sort and a little
romance. This story was no exception. The exception was that I couldn’t figure out just what was happening. The relationship between the Scottish godfather and Megan’s dad Harper were difficult to put together. The family that emerges is complicated and interesting. I liked it and thought all the characters were authentic. I would read this book again.

Revisado: 07-18-18
I really enjoyed reading or listening to this book. It was heart warming to see a tough prosecutor and strong survivor turn into a real investigator and solve a suspiciously horrible crime. I liked her characters, and the way they interacted. Guess I will go back and find Book 1.

I especially liked the description of the trinity. I thought ofPapa, being a loving parent was a great analogy, Jesus as a man in the prime of his life enjoying every day. Woodworking, walking on water, one minute a big kid, the next day a creator. Then a whimsical fairy like creature full of light and love. I really liked this book.

Why all these books (the last two) have such
heavy British accents. I did continue reading it, but it was difficult as it jumped between 2004 and present. Too much jumping around.
