You know this is abolition right
Revisado: 03-06-23
It’s a good book and a lot in it are quite helpful.
But still, constantly feel disturbed for how afloat this narrative is. Yes, nonviolent communication; but no, not in this structure overlooked, intrinsically individual telling.
Especially with the part regarding social movement, it is basically describing abolition, but definitely not mentioning that.
Book is great and helpful, but the (well, whiteness) is just violently hurting & triggering.
//not not mentioning race or justice, but example is policeman telling, race mentioned but with examples within the race group
//did talk about use force when needed, but it’s just a chapter, and judged by the rest of the book

Historia
In this classic account of madness, Michel Foucault shows once and for all why he is one of the most distinguished European philosophers since the end of World War II. Madness and Civilization, Foucault's first book and his finest accomplishment, will change the way in which you think about society. Evoking shock, pity, and fascination, it might also make you question the way you think about yourself.
