Historia
In The Anxious Generation, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt lays out the facts about the epidemic of teen mental illness that hit many countries at the same time. He then investigates the nature of childhood, including why children need play and independent exploration to mature into competent, thriving adults. Haidt shows how the “play-based childhood” began to decline in the 1980s, and how it was finally wiped out by the arrival of the “phone-based childhood” in the early 2010s.

Must Read For Parents and Teachers
Revisado: 04-21-24
I do not leave a ton of reviews but I would call this book a must read for parents. It would be useful no matter the age of your child. I would find it most useful for parents of younger children because they have not yet gone down the smart phone rabbit hole. I also believe it is useful for teachers because it gives you a sense of what is causing the problems you see everyday and it allows you to reflect upon the small changes that you can implement within your classroom.

Historia
Every investment plan under the sun is, at best, an informed speculation of what may happen in the future, based on a systematic extrapolation from the known past. Same as Ever reverses the process, inviting us to identify the many things that never, ever change. With his usual elan, Morgan Housel presents a master class on optimizing risk, seizing opportunity, and living your best life. Through a sequence of engaging stories and pithy examples, he shows how we can use our newfound grasp of the unchanging to see around corners.

This is required reading for anyone interested in the stock market. Would be good to read during bear markets, bull markets and everything in between. This book will still be relevant in 30 years!
