Don't give up.

This story is certainly not what I expected from the previews and blurb, but I did enjoy it. I have to admit that the second quarter bored me a little and I considered giving up. But I'm certainly glad I continued on and finished the story. Now I'm curious as to when a sequel will release, as I'm that intrigued. The narrator was fabulous, and I think she's what kept me listening.

Phenomenal!

This ex-agent lives day by day, using her resources and brains to survive until the next morning. But when the agency finds her, they want her to come in for one more case, promising her freedom after. Yet, she's learned not to trust anyone and sets out to obtain the information the agency needs her own way. But, even with the best plans, she cannot predict the outcome.

If you are expecting sparkly vampires, aliens, or teen romance, you need to read the blurb. This book is about adults in extreme situations. The main character is running for her life, not sure how many more days she has left before they find her. It involves torture, running, hiding, and when all else fails, fighting. I found the story to be very intense, keeping me intrigued throughout the entire audiobook. I wasn't sure if any of the characters would be alive at the end.

Yes, there is a romantic element to this story, and it adds to the suspense. The Host is one of my favorite stories, and I enjoyed The Chemist just as much. I look forward to seeing what Stephenie Meyer writes next.

Full of adventure

This was a fabulous sci-fi romance story filled with love, adventure, and suspense. Just when I believed the hero and heroine were about to get out of a bad situation, something else happened to put their lives in jeopardy. I never knew what would happen next. I really liked how even though the heroine had a disability, she wasn't helpless and even helped to save trained military men in certain situations. The narrator did a wonderful job telling this story, and I plan to read and listen to more from the author and narrator.

Another great story in the Lunar Chronicles

As with Cinder, I really enjoyed the story. Any futuristic fairy tale definitely captures my attention, and the author executed it so well. The performance was fabulous as well, with the narrator continuing with her distinct voices and accents. I have already bought the next audio book in the series. :-)

Fabulous Futuristic Fairy Tale

I absolutely loved this story, which is a futuristic retelling of Cinderella. The narrator was wonderful, making each character distinct. I have already bought the next audio book in the series and am looking forward to listening to it.

Fabulous narration

I enjoyed this audio book, but it was the narration that kept me listening. Parts of the book really irked me, and if I'd been reading, I likely would have closed the book and never picked it up again. It was the narrator who kept me listening though. He provided such a smooth delivery, I just wanted to keep listening. Other than the few things the characters did that irked me, I did enjoy the story. It is an intriguing alien story. If Christian Rummel narrates, I may listen to another by this author.

A fantastic start to the series

After listening to this story, I understand why Claire Delacroix is dubbed the Queen of Medieval Romance. I don't read or listen to a lot of historical romance, but I do enjoy the time of the crusades and the Templars. So, when I learned of this series, I was very excited. While it took me a bit to get used to the narrator, once I became engrossed in the story, it became a non-issue. Gaston is not your typical hero in that he is unfamiliar with the pleasure of women, having dedicated his life to the Templars. But, Ysmaine is not afraid to tell him what she wants and expects. There is mystrry and suspense in this story as well, keeping my attention and making me anxious for the next time I'd have a chance to listen to more. I look forward to listening to the next story in the series.

A fabulous ending to the Legend series

The battle between the Republic and the Colonies comes to a head in this story, with more players added. June also struggles in defining her relationship with Dae and Andon's affections. Not only is it a wonderful story, but the narrators are amazing. I enjoyed them both throughout the series and will look for other titles they've narrated. I was in tears during the last two chapters, but the ending was immensely satisfying.

A fabulous YA audio book!

An intense story full of hope and deceit. I also love the narrators. They drew me into the story, and made me feel a wide range of emotion while listening. The most memorable part for me is the ending when I was folding laundry while listening. I had to stop and dry my eyes. I will definitely listen to the next in the series. In fact, I already own it.

An interesting twist

Another fabulous story in the series. One of the plot lines I loved from The 5th Wave carried on in The Infinite Sea. Though, there was a twist near the end I wasn't expecting. The narration was fabulous with the characters differentiated enough for me not to get confused. I look forward to listening to the next book in the series.

Recommended for lovers of Sci-fi Young Adult stories.
