Fantastic!
Revisado: 02-10-15
I am a huge fan of Lisa Gardner, and this book didn't disappoint! It's easily one of my favorites, and I really enjoyed the narrator. I thought she did a great job with the different voices, and kept me engaged the whole time.
I haven't read all the other Quincy & Rainie books yet, but didn't feel that I missed out on anything by not knowing their entire backstories before reading this one.
Definitely recommend!

Nicole Frank shouldn't have been able to survive the car accident, much less crawl up the steep ravine. Not in the dark, not in the rain, not with her injuries. But one thought allows her to defy the odds and flag down help: Vero.

so disappointed
Revisado: 02-10-15
I have loved every Lisa Gardner book I've read, so I purchased this one the day it went on sale without even listening to the sample. Worst mistake ever. These narrators are some of the worst I've ever heard. How did this happen to such an established author?
The writing is also completely different than what I'm used to from Gardner. It's so stiff and formal, and the narrators just make it 100x worse. I'm only an hour in and I can't take it, so I'm giving up. By the sound of the other reviews, I'm not missing anything :-/

Narrator ruined this book
Revisado: 07-11-14
Would you try another book from Terri Osburn and/or Amy Rubinate?
Terri Osburn - yes, if it was narrated by someone else.
How could the performance have been better?
I actually thought it was Siri from the iPhone at first... and then assumed it was a computer program. I don't even know how the narrator gets her voice to sound so monotone and computer-like! I couldn't get past it - the only reason I was able to finish the book is because I really liked the story. From now on, I'll ALWAYS play the audio sample before I purchase.
