Historia
Two blood-spattered strangers awake, locked in the trunk of a car - with a murdered cop and the smoking gun. Aside from raging headaches and no idea what's happened, they appear to have nothing in common. Troy thinks it's 2001 and he's still a combat surgeon fighting terrorists in Afghanistan. Emmy believes it's 2002 and she's still grifting a living from the streets of L.A.

Couldn't keep my attention
Revisado: 08-15-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
If you have time to really pay attention. This one just didn't keep my attention. I'm a passive listener often listening while I driving or working in the yard. This one was hard to follow.

Not my Favorite
Revisado: 06-17-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I got bored with this one. I love Ludlum's stuff, but the characters were too hard to follow and I found it hard to listen to. I gave it back
If you’ve listened to books by Robert Ludlum before, how does this one compare?
This is the first Ludlum book I did not enjoy
Which character – as performed by Grover Gardner – was your favorite?
None of the character development worked for me
Do you think The Gemini Contenders needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
I didn't finish it
Any additional comments?
I'm a big Ludlum fan. Others may enjoy this one but I stopped about a third of the way through.

It's OK if you don't mind the word F$#%
Revisado: 08-06-13
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
I know it must be used to make it sound more real but by the time you got to the second part of the book, the F word was used so much it became a distraction to the story. I finally shut it down with about 6 hours left. Just couldn't listen to it any more. It didn't add to the story
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
The story was fine. It was how it was told
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Yes

A little difficult to follow
Revisado: 03-16-13
Any additional comments?
I'm a daily audible listener. I do listen mostly for enjoyment and because I listen often while I exercise I will admit that my mind does wander sometimes. That said, however, I found this book a bit difficult to follow. I can truthfully say that I was hoping the book would end so I could get on to something more enjoyable. Great reading performance, but I thought the story was weak and hard to follow.

Historia
In the northern California town of Coventry, two teenage brothers go into the woods one day, but only one comes back. No one knows what happened to the younger brother, Josh, until 20 years later, when the older brother, Oren, now an ex-investigator for the Army CID, returns to Coventry for the first time in many years. His first morning back, he hears a thump on the front porch. Lying in front of the door is a human jawbone, the teeth still intact. And it is not the first such object, his father tells him.
