I really enjoyed this book. It was a very different approach to fantasy then I have seen before and the story was one I had not encountered. I enjoyed how the author went into detail to really give the reader a perspective of the different personalities of each character. Also the world building was on point. And the narrator did a fabulous job of portraying different emotions and voices. It is a good listen and I would reccomend it.

One Dark Throne is the second book in the series about Queens fated to kill one another. It is action packed with twists and turns. The buildup from book one is well oayed off in these chapters and the back stories start to fall into place. It was an effortless listen and kept my attention throughout. Very happy with the plot and character developments so far. If you were hesitant because the first boom is a slow start, rest assured that this one is not. I look forward to the rest of this series.

Good writing ruined by poor performance

It's a slow read

The premise to the story is very interesting but be warned this first book is slow for most of the read and it picks up near the end. It does a lot of world building and character development so the reader can understand the mind set of each character. I did struggle near the middle because I wanted more action. All in all it was a decent listen and I will be getting the second book as the story is interesting.

I haven’t read a series this good in a long time

The story is so captivating with all the attention to detail of the sceneries. It’s like you are actually right there standing next to the different characters. I listened to both books on my drive to and from work and after I finished them both I listened to them again right away! You won’t be disappointed by the story or the narration. All the stars!!!
