Historia
Tricked into a world of banished gods, demons, goblins, sprites and magic, Richter must learn to meet the perils of The Land and begin to forge his own kingdom. Actions have consequences across The Land, with powerful creatures and factions now hell-bent on Richter's destruction. Can Richter forge allegiances to survive this harsh and unforgiving world or will he fall to the dark denizens of this ancient and unforgiving realm? A tale to shake "The Land" itself, measuring 10/10 on the Richter scale, how will Richter's choices shape the future of The Land and all who reside in it?

Overated
Revisado: 11-30-18
the author wastes no time trumpeting the fact he coined the term "lit rpg" like he invented the genre and didn't steal it from the Asian web novel scene. it's not even like trapped in video game stories are new. All this would have been unimportant if the book could stand on it's own legs. but the book is boring. the main character is a bland Mary Sue who spews memes that were dated before this book came out. the author gave him no motivation beyond "I'm in an rpg, better level up and do quests" the only good thing Aleron Kong did was make a word to search for novels that are like his but better. Nick Podehl did a fantastic job with what he had to work with.

All the best Parts of a monster movie in a book
Revisado: 10-21-17
My title says it all. If you like monster movies you will like this book. Ray Porter also does great in picking his voices to instantly sum up a characters personality.

Surprisingly Fantastic
Revisado: 10-21-17
Picked this up on a whim and was surprised at how sucked in I got. it's slow so give it some time but it becomes an amazing story of honor and righteousness. i'm a sucker for those stories. changed how i'll view paladins in other fiction. also Michael Kramer continues to be a godly narrator.

The Main Character is Useless
Revisado: 10-21-17
Good reading, interesting story, but seriously the main character does nothing but whine and move from one place to another. everyone goes on about how special and powerful he is but he get's his butt kicked and saved for almost the entire story. it's sad because the few times he does fight or do something besides what some other character tells him to do it's actually really great. also the final confrontation is a hard copout and just disappointing.

Historia
A pyramid predating all known cultures appears without warning. Its discovery throws into question everything we know about the origins of mankind. Inside lies incredible technology, proof of a culture far more advanced than our own. Something dark lurks within, eager to resume a war as old as mankind. When it is unleashed, it heralds the end of our species' reign.

Seriously Another Power
Revisado: 10-21-17
the first book was actually really good nice build up, hero rejecting his calling, looming threat, and the world hanging in the balance. then it just all goes down hill. author keeps stacking powers and ability on on the vampires and werewolves until battles just don't make sense. also "the mother" is a terrible character. Ancient progenitor of the werewolves who explains 0 things about them. maybe book 3 fixes this terrible mess of vague superpowers but good luck getting past book 2 cause I couldn't.

Historia
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Balances Things Perfectly
Revisado: 10-21-17
the author manages to make a soldier who, though competent, is constantly avoiding playing a larger role in the politics of the moment enjoyable. In the later parts of the story he also manages to make the godly AI not seem like a complete ex machina and makes him a likable jerk. I look forward to more of the impressive balancing act.

Historia
We colonized 700 planets. Humankind enjoyed the benefits of expansion room and the end of wars. We even disbanded our military. Then the Krall found us. The Krall have used thousands of years of combat to select the genes of the strongest and fastest warriors. They are a species determined to dominate the entire galaxy, through destruction and annihilation of every opponent.
Koban is an uninhabited high-gravity planet with impossibly fast savage animals, which employ organic superconducting nerves. This deadly world is where the Krall tested humans for war capability.

It's a Radio Play Basically
Revisado: 10-21-17
The story which is already a great sci-fi adventure is only made better by the willingness of the production team to use sound effects to bring a sense of atmosphere to the reading. Going that extra step has made this one of my most enjoyable listens.

Historia
In Eyes of Prey, Bekker, an insane pathologist who experiments with his patients’ pain thresholds, is finally brought down by an unrelenting Lucas Davenport, who brutally maims the doctor’s beautiful face but leaves him alive. “You should have killed me,” were Bekker’s parting and prophetic words.
In this sequel to Eyes of Prey, Bekker endures the indignities and horrors of imprisonment, taking comfort in the fact that it is only a matter of time before he will make Lucas Davenport pay.
