Plain vanilla story
Revisado: 02-18-25
Very predictable, spent too much time inside everyone’s head. If you know what everyone is thinking all the time it hard to make it exciting.

Historia
If you don’t understand communist revolutions, you aren’t ready for what’s coming. The old rules are over. The old order is over. Accusations are evidence. Activism means bigotry and hate. Criminals are allowed to roam free. Citizens are locked up. An appetite for vengeance is unleashed—to deplatform, debank, destroy. This is the daily news, yet none of it’s new. Patterns from the past make sense of our present. They also foretell a terrifying future we might be condemned to endure.

Good attempt
Revisado: 09-08-24
Good attempt at identifying the Communist effort to drive towards a one world order. But with so much of that effort being conducted in the shadows, it is very hard to make the case in a single book. The complexity of the Communist movement at so many levels (by design) makes any single book on the subject come up short. But the only way to defeat this movement is to keep shining a light on it and exposing it for what it is, pure darkness and evil.

Historia
Over two grim nights in Los Angeles, the young followers of Charles Manson murdered seven people, including the actress Sharon Tate, then eight months pregnant. With no mercy and seemingly no motive, the Manson Family followed their leader's every order. Twenty years ago, when journalist Tom O'Neill was reporting a magazine piece about the murders, he worried there was nothing new to say. Then he unearthed shocking evidence of a cover-up behind the "official" story, including police carelessness, legal misconduct, and potential surveillance by intelligence agents.

Empty story based on title
Revisado: 06-23-24
Most good stories have a beginning, middle and end. This story was an endless loop, it went round and round but never got anywhere. It started as a mystery and ended as a mystery. I was told there were a lot of celebrity types who recommended the book. I’d love to know why they did.

There’s a new invisible force at work in our economic and cultural lives. It affects every advertisement we see and every product we buy, from our morning coffee to a new pair of shoes. “Stakeholder capitalism” makes rosy promises of a better, more diverse, environmentally friendly world, but in reality, this ideology, championed by America’s business and political leaders, robs us of our money, our voice, and our identity.

No one will, or should agree with everything he has to say but maybe that’s the point??

Historia
Rick's recent appearance on Ben Fogle's New Lives in the Wild chronicled his budget lifestyle and adventures aboard Calypso, and introduced the idea of budget sailing to a whole new audience - an audience who may have never considered the possibility that such a dream could be made a reality, on such a small amount of money. This book is for them and for any experienced sailors who want to cast off the yoke of consumerist yachting and get back to what really matters at sea.

Good starter lessons for someone thinking about getting into sailing and your budget is of highest importance.
If you already have a boat much of the material will not be of much value.
