the story and writing is still decent, but please, please keep politics out of it. It is abundantly clear the author is an acedemic, decentently knowledgeable on most things, has little exposure to the military, and is politically left wing. Please stop, whether u are right wing or left..just please dont

Gem in the rough with a few smudges

Let me start by saying ive listened up to book 4 and it is a decent read. The style and flow are up to snuff, the story keeps you listening, and there are no major cringe worthy tropes that make me put other certain books down. all in all worth the buy.

Now I will also say, as others have pointed out, the mc is a touch generic. like he has no real outstanding qualities that made him of all ppl be the last man standing in the world. yet the mc is still likeable enough u get over it.

Also however, the author did make a tabboo when writing. He got political. Not right away but there were comments like, "horay for open borders" "i wouldnt let any alt right politicians win" and of course there is a constant arguement from authority(Needing credentials to be im the right and if your not an acclaimed expert, your an idiot). It become abudantly clear the author is an acedemic, left wing politically, and has little exposure to the military.

Now as much as those two complaints annoyed me, still well written, still entertaining , still worth a credit.

As good as ever, but you should know that by now if your reading this. Min starts to get his mojo back and the book is interesting as always. I will however jump off a bridge if the humans are restored to their former technological glory. Please Terry, im begging you.

not a bad ending..but now im sad. i loved how this story went into the wider galaxy and really delved into the mechanics and physics of the system. a bit sad its all over

first of all i love your books. the story line is top tier. its why i give 5 stars every time, but please just stop overusing certain words or phrases. 2 things to watch out for i guess...
1. sometimes you use the same word too many times. for example leviala used "this place" something like 7 times in 15 seconds once.
2. some phrases get overused by different people from different backgrounds and personalities. phrases like old monster, powerhouse, lucky encounter, and these guys way too much.
please dont take this as harsh criticizim or anything. your books are awesome and ill continue buying them. just...thought id say something and hopefully you read it. 😁
