I absolutely adore Hercule Poirot and I believe John Moffett is the best person to play him...I do believe others have done the Character himself credit but John just fits so perfectly and it makes one believe you are apart of the cast when you hear these version...I love it!

I remember reading these when I was a kid and the other day finally remembered what they were called! Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots was always my favorite so this was wonderful to listen to once again!

Phenomenal Voice Acting

I do so adore and wish we could hear dramatizations like this on the radio today as they are truly magnificent and very well acted. The final book/act Three Act Tragedy was the best one out of the lot in terms of voice actors and the way it was dramatized, it truly had me sucked in and I felt like I was still watching a movie even though I truly wasn't! I can't wait to hear more!

Narrators

The narrators did a wonderful job bringing this story to life and each had their own unique way of doing it but somehow they all mashed well together...I noticed that Sir Patrick Stewart said Turnus instead of Tumnus and I had to rewind it to chuckle...truly was a wondeful listen!

IT'S VOLDEMORT NOT VOLDEMORE!!!

This dudes pronunciation drives me mad also every character sounds almost the exact same ..variation! I am having the same issues with this book as I did with the previous one read by Jim Dale he pronounces most names wrong and I absolutely despise the way that he makes the characters sound like gits (as Ron would say) Hermione especially is made to sound really slow and the way she says Harry is more like HAREEEE and it's just ridikkulus! I otherwise don't have much issue with this dude he just needs to stick to the correct words and stop making the characters sound like a bunch of dolt's. YIKES! The book in question is amazing and I am happy that I got to once again read the book and hear it as I work!

Good but...

I enjoyed being able to hear this HOWEVER the pronunciation of words sucked majorly and annoyed the living daylights out of me. It is VoldemorT not Voldemore and the way he says Harry or Hermione is so ridiculous...I found myself correcting his pronunciations throughout the entirety of the book and admittedly it was a bit distracting. He isn't the worst however he really needs to stick the correct pronunciations and stop coming up with his own. Also the variations of his voices for each character are all pretty similar which is fine except he makes most of the characters sound addled and really slow...I don't remember any of them being described as vampires either which is how they were made to sound like characters from Transylvania. Otherwise the book itself is amazing and I am happy that I get to listen to them whilst I get to work it keeps me distracted from my environment and I get to read a book once again.
