Historia
Jen Maddox is a few days into her summer study-abroad program. She sees something that isn’t humanly possible. Jen would have thought that it was all a dream if not for the fact that Charlie, Dani, Mariana, TS, and Thomas are making every effort to cover it up. Suddenly, the five of them are everything but normal, and Jen is determined to figure out what they’re hiding. There’s something on the ship. Something dangerous. Suddenly, everyone on board is threatened by a creature that Jen never even believed existed.

enjoyable read/listen
Revisado: 07-20-21
I really enjoyed this character based story. So many characters to get to know. Overall the story feels a bit young even though this is supposed to be college age, but other than that enjoyable. Seeing the world with new eyes and uncovering talents never gets old. Looking forward to the next one.

as good as the first
Revisado: 07-05-21
Book 2 was just as exciting as book 1. I loved the growth of the relationship between Jo and Caius. You see a softer side of them both. The world building was fantastic and completely interesting. We get to hear the full version of the prophecy and it dropped big hints as to what as to come. Then the dreams Jo is having confirmed my assumptions and the journey solidified it. I'm not normally a fan of that trope but it was done really well. Looking forward to the next one and getting to know all the crew better.

Historia
Everything started the night after Jo’s mother was buried. When someone tried to kill her and she was pulled into something bigger than the mortal world she’d grown up in. That was when she met Caius, a powerful and dangerous demon hybrid. She doesn’t know why he helped save her life that night; she only knows what she’s been told: The demonborn are enemies.

A good listen
Revisado: 06-20-21
This was my first book from A.D. Trosper and I was pleasantly surprised. A new take on the mythos of the Morgane, heaven and hell. I have many questions yet not answered but I’m looking forward to seeing them unveiled in the next two books. Strong characters and a emotional roller coaster.

Years later, her coronation ceremony looms, and Lilac prepares for the worst...until a mysterious letter arrives from The Witch of Lupine Grotto, detailing a curious offer to cure her darkness forever. Lilac begrudgingly trades her coronet for a cloak and ventures into the forest Brocéliande in pursuit of the impious enchantress at the edge of town.

Interesting
Revisado: 05-14-21
An interesting journey to accepting oneself and to strive for greatness.
Lilac has a lesson to learn. Well several if we are honest. She is a bit of a push over even at the end she had to be saved. She showed hints of her backbone only to wait for her hero or fate to save the day.
The storyline was predictable but fun. I figured out who the witch was fairly early and it was rewarding to see I had guessed correctly.
Garin was comic relief and our poor tortured hero. He was interesting and I shipped them as a couple. He made her better and stronger. She gave him hope and a second chance at love.
I am interested in seeing how the story will progress since several things at the end hint at a sequel.

Different from the movie but just as magical
Revisado: 06-03-19
The book is so different from the movie it’s almost two completely different stories with similar plot lines.
I much prefer the book. It gave so much more. Now having read it and rewatching the movie I can see the Easter eggs left in odd places.
I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good story with heart.
