Historia
A soulful collection of nearly four decades of surf writing. In Deep transports listeners into the heart of the surfing world’s culture through the eyes and imagination of a master storyteller. George’s personality profiles, perspective essays, and travel accounts achieve a level of frank articulation that, much like the works of Theroux, Krakauer, and Finnegan, reveal as much about the man as it does his subjects. Peak transcendence and quiet reflection, famous beaches and lost islands, competitive triumphs and personal tragedies.

Absolutely magnificent
Revisado: 04-19-24
What a treasure. Like hanging out with your best, and the absolute coolest, friend you could ever imagine and hearing their incredible life stories and legends. Surfer or not, this is a masterpiece. Even when he would “stop” and retake, it felt right. Take note all writers… Tell your own story, don’t let anyone else read it. Thank you MG.

The trauma that our world experienced in recent years—as result of both the pandemic and societal tensions that threaten to overwhelm us—has been unprecedented and is not going away anytime soon. It is clear that existing political and economic systems are not enough to bring the change that the world needs. In this book, Rainn Wilson explores the possibility and hope for a spiritual revolution, a “Soul Boom” in order to address today’s greatest issues—mental health, racism and sexism, climate change, and economic injustice.

Extraordinary and Powerful
Revisado: 06-16-23
What a wonderfully compelling work of art from Rainn. This extremely well presented offering of thoughtful, inspiring, and courageous viewpoints should be listened to and read by every human. Halfway through, I bought 2 copies of the book, one for our family and one to share with others. May you be filled with Compassion.

This was very well thought out and Dr. Peterson is a splendid orator. Even if you don’t agree with everything presented here, there is tremendously valuable information and insightful prose and queries to ruminate on. This process can provide powerful growth and improvement if you allow it. Enjoy!

Absolutely Beautiful Ese!
Revisado: 03-29-23
Enriching and captivating, this extraordinary story of life as a pastor working in the depths of Los Angeles’ barrios challenges your heart not to open to all of life which you may have previously dismissed as unworthy. I wasn’t sure if this book was for me, being not very religious and not exactly from the hood, but I am so thankful it found me and allowed me in. The presentation is spot on and the stories enthralling, hilarious, and entertaining. I couldn’t get enough and am left telling friends, family, and anyone who will listen all about it. Thank you Father Greg Boyle, you truly are a Saint. And thank you homies, that are doing your best to find a better path, may your road be clear, newly paved, and bullet free. Blessings and love. Absolute Magic! Thank you Flea
Revisado: 03-18-23
This is a beautifully honest, hilarious, and disturbing, thoroughly inspiring, passionate, and extraordinarily thoughtful, a shade terrifying, at times disgusting and gritty, yet always deeply loving and profoundly introspective life story. This record(ing) will make you grit your teeth, laugh out loud, question your self and the course you’re on, shake your head in disbelief, bump to the funky life rhythms and beats, sing to the sky, cry softly and proudly, tell stories to your friends and family, and so much more. Be ready for magic! I wasn’t even a huge RHCP fan before listening to this masterpiece… this masterclass… this master… but I am now. Take note all other authors: THIS is how you present your memoir. No one else could have read it like you Flea because no one could have lived it like you. You are my new hero. For doing it, for making it through it all, for sticking to your guns, for your remorse and regrets, for your stunning honesty and compassion, for your hysterical understanding of life, for the stories and the amazing humans you experienced, for being an absolute bad*ss, for your your musical beauty, your relationships, your dedication to craft, your huge artistic heart, your fears, your thoughts and valuable insights, for surviving this incredible life and having the cajones to openly share it with us.
You are a legend.

Historia
Big-wave surfer Garrett McNamara set the world record for the sport, surfing a 78-foot wave in Nazare, Portugal, in 2011, a record he smashed two years later at the same break. Propelled by the challenge and promise of bigger, more difficult waves, this adrenaline-fueled loner and polarizing figure travels the globe to ride the most dangerous swells the oceans have to offer, from calving glaciers to hurricane swells. But what motivates McNamara to go to such extremes - to risk everything for one thrilling ride?

Great story, just wish Garrett would have presented it himself
Revisado: 03-15-23
This book is a beautiful, entertaining, and a great life story to hear. However, Garrett should definitely have presented it himself, he’s a great speaker. In fact, every author should present their own story. Another persons lackluster voice inflection and untimely energy can never compete with your visceral memory and dramatic influences. This presenter’s cringe worthy pronunciations of Hawaiian words is brutal and borderline disrespectful, especially for someone born and raised on Kauai. Might be fine for you, but just know, that is not how the town names and surf breaks are actually pronounced. Unfortunately, it took an amazing book and made it almost unlistenable. I battled through because I know Garrett and Liam are legends, but I hope he reads this and thinks better of it next time.

Revisado: 05-19-22
Just what was needed as I stumbled on my spiritual path, all of the powerful tools and practices gathered seemingly dulling and apathetic. Living Untethered reignited my passion, provided invaluable perspective, and wove together my past and present, confirming the value of the practices and perseverance accumulated. So very thankful to you Michael. All of your work is so powerfully brilliant and this came at the exact moment it was truly needed. Also, always so nice to hear the author do the audible presentation. Blessings and love to all. AloHA!

Absolutely amazing
Revisado: 04-21-22
The engaging writing, the horrific, disgusting crimes and the criminal’s ability to allude capture, the deep maze and intrigue, the tireless crime sleuths, Patton for somehow keeping it moving forward through his grief, and the presentation are all absolutely amazing.
I’ve read the book twice, listened to it twice, and watched the HBO series more that twice, and I can’t get enough.
As much as I’d love to punch JJD in the face and choke the sh!t out if that old scumbag, I think it more important to move on to other unsolved violent crimes, use our tenacity, perseverance, care for our communities, and advancements in technology to put more cold case criminals who think they got away with it behind bars.

Historia
Decades before the American Revolution, Benjamin Franklin lamented that English settlers were constantly fleeing over to the Indians - but Indians almost never did the same. Tribal society has been exerting an almost gravitational pull on Westerners for hundreds of years, and the reason lies deep in our evolutionary past as a communal species. The most recent example of that attraction is combat veterans who come home to find themselves missing the incredibly intimate bonds of platoon life.
