Historia
Comparing Google to an ordinary business is like comparing a rocket to an Edsel. No academic analysis or bystanders account can capture it. Now Doug Edwards, Employee Number 59, offers the first inside view of Google, giving readers a chance to fully experience the bizarre mix of camaraderie and competition at this phenomenal company. I'm Feeling Lucky captures for the first time the unique, self-invented, yet profoundly important culture of the world's most transformative corporation.

You'll be the lucky one
Revisado: 08-04-11
One of the funniest books I've ever read. The style is witty, kind and down to earth. A must read for anyone who has ever worked at a start-up. Hearing the story from the author's own mouth adds to the personal feeling of the book. You'll be the lucky one if you take the time to listen to this book.

Historia
Follow one man’s journey of learning to hear the voice of God. By putting words to the things God has shown him through some amazing experiences, John Eldredge helps listeners shed light on the miraculous truths that God is showing them right now. Our deepest need is to live in conversation with God. To hear his voice. To follow him intimately. This is the single most life-changing habit that a human being can adopt, because it brings us back to the source of life. Yet most Christians have never been taught how to have a conversation with the Creator.

Great book for the over-worked Christian
Revisado: 04-30-09
The first third of this book changed my walk with Christ. The idea that the Lord wants me to feel joy was life-changing for me. His yoke is light and yet, before reading this book, I felt I served him best by running myself to the ground, living on five hours of sleep and feeling inadequate for not doing more. My common mantra now is "You can't take my joy, Devil." Definitely a recommended read for folks who overdrive themselves.

Historia
Baltimore, 1849. The body of Edgar Allan Poe has been buried in an unmarked grave. Everyone seems to accept the conclusion that Poe was a second-rate writer who met a disgraceful end, except for a young Baltimore lawyer named Quentin Clark, an ardent admirer who puts his own career and reputation at risk in a crusade to salvage Poe's.

Fairly Pointless
Revisado: 12-31-08
I loved the Dante Club. The Poe Shadow, however, lacks the great and believable characters of DC. It also lack a unity of plot and wanders through to an unsatisfying conclusion.

Historia
In celebration of the week-long, once-in-a-decade rite of Apert, the fras and suurs prepare to venture outside the concent's gates - opening them wide at the same time to welcome the curious "extras" in. During his first Apert as a fra, Erasmus eagerly anticipates reconnecting with the landmarks and family he hasn't seen since he was "collected". But before the week is out, both the existence he abandoned and the one he embraced will stand poised on the perilous brink of cataclysmic change.

Plain old boring
Revisado: 11-01-08
I loved snow crash and diamond age. This one was horridly boring. The entire book reads like a set up for a story. But a story never develps.

Historia
Fraa Erasmus is a young avout living in the Concent of Saunt Edhar, a sanctuary for mathematicians, scientists, and philosophers, protected from the corrupting influences of the "Saecular" world by ancient stone, honored traditions, and complex rituals. Over the centuries, cities, and governments have risen and fallen beyond the concent's walls. Three times during history's darkest epochs, bloody violence born of superstition and ignorance has invaded and devastated the cloistered mathic community.
