Historia
Reidon Ward's first semester at the Galens Institute hasn't been without reward. In just over half a year he's gone from the weakest cadet at school to one of the strongest in his class, and there's no one left who would argue that his Device, Shido, isn't the most terrifying CAD they've ever laid eyes on. Still, Rei knows that his climb has barely begun, like he knows that the true fight is only just starting. After all… The Sectionals tournament has arrived. Rei, along with Aria, Viv, Catcher, and a couple unexpected squadmates, are about to face the first real battle of their careers.

Love this series
Revisado: 03-06-25
Hey-oh! Who can’t root for Rey and his merry band of loyal friends as they fight to grow, overcome obstacles, and kick the enemies bootay? I mean, we dig it right? I want more. This series rocks. Love every step of their journey. Give me a “cad” so I can step into their world. So cool.

Historia
At one time, Corrie ten Boom would have laughed at the idea that she had a story to tell. For the first 50 years of her life, nothing out of the ordinary ever happened to her. She was a spinster watchmaker living contentedly with her sister and their elderly father in the tiny house over their shop in Haarlem. Their uneventful days, as regulated as their own watches, revolved around their abiding love for one another. But with the Nazi invasion and occupation of Holland, everything changed....

Too great to describe
Revisado: 02-28-23
Love Corries story. Oh how the Spirit of the Lord opened my eyes to new depths of the love of Christ through Corrie’s and Betsy’s love for those who 99.9% of the world would deem too detestable to love. May God never let me forget the depths of his love for a sinner like me, and the depths of love He would give me for my enemy.

Historia
Ross Edgley famously ran a marathon pulling a 1.4-tonne car and climbed a rope the height of Everest (8,848 m), after living with Yamabushi warrior monks in Japan and partaking in Shamanic pain rituals with fire ants in the Amazon jungle. On his epic 1,780-mile journey around Great Britain, which lasted 157 days, Ross swam through giant jellyfish, arctic storms, ‘haunted’ whirlpools and polluted shipping lanes, going so hard, and so fast, his tongue fell apart.

You don’t have to live in this world long before discovering that the pursuit of intimacy with God occurs within the context of adversity. It is a fight. Yet it is a fight in which our King has won the decisive victory! You have been set free…into a raging battle! But there’s good news: Your struggles do not mean you’re doomed, rather they’re actually a sure sign that you are alive. Now you must learn to struggle well, for Jesus did not free you from the fight, he freed you for the fight.

Best book on Prayer
Revisado: 05-29-21
I am a pastor. Like any other leader, I still have a long way to grow. But, this is the best book on prayer I’ve ever read. It’s so good that although I just finished it, I am going to read it again immediately. And I have never done that before. I am desperate for more of Jesus in my life. I am excited for the great breakthrough that is coming in our church and in the worldwide Church. This book gives biblical blueprint for how great a role prayer has in that movement. It empowers the warriors of Christ to rise up and fight. Our weapons of warfare being mighty to pull down strongholds. I recommend every Christian and especially every pastor to read this book. It will bless your socks off. Glory to God in the highest.

Best book I’ve listened to (or read) in 4 years
Revisado: 10-07-20
There are only a few books that keep me riveted throughout the whole story. AN EMBER IN THE ASHES is one of a short list. Most books have golden moments with holes that the reader steps in along the journey. Holes that annoy. Holes that ruin.
But this incredible book takes you on a wild ride. Like a good rollercoaster, there’s the enjoyment of rising anticipation, the exhilaration of falling as the bottom drops out, and the thrill of zigs and zags and the dynamics of decreasing and increasing speeds... and no annoying holes. Just an incredible ride.
Thank you Sanaa Tahir and narrators for the beautiful journey. So excited to read the rest of the series.

Brilliant, though I admit I struggled to see its brilliance until the final part of the book. But I guess that's not much different than many brilliant people that are recognized as brilliant a little late.
