Tip for introducing your new series

It is very off-putting to begin your story with a list of akward names and random organizations of which the reader has absolutely zero reference. This gives the new listener/reader a huge dose of benadryl and zero useable information. Sure, you could reference this intro later to understand whom these beings and places are, but to begin your story this way is like shoving mashed potatoes in my ears. Bland and unpleasant.

Someday we will move past the lazy habit of writers injecting unnecessary saw cringe into otherwise good stories. Robinson is a lazy hack, relying on sjw propaganda in pathetic pandering instead of actual creativity.

Fun story, amateur writing.

First I'll say the the story is fun and entertaining. Overall, I enjoyed the book.

The author and editor should crack open a thesaurus and dictionary. This book was packed with my pet peeves. "Unique" doesn't require a descriptor. Something is either unique or it isn't. "Extremely unique" must have been repeated a hundred times. The misuse of "decimate" has always irked me as well, but it wasnt repeated nearly as much as the overuse of a small batch of adjectives.

That being said, the story is good. The writer will improve and I look forward to the next installment and hopefully a glimpse of progress for L.M. Kerr.

Humans are bad because of pollution, Christianity is evil, blah blah blah....

Im sure many enjoy reading the same story over and over. These tropes are simply lazy writing using a cookie-cutter framework to entertain the simple-minded.

The LitRPG genre is full of books with weak characters not being allowed to become powerful and oversexed stories packed with daddy issues. It was refreshing to have a story that wasn't bogged down by either of these literary tropes.

Dont be fooled

This is not a litrpg. This book is 60% cringy, clumsy attempts at erotica, 30% stories about abusive fathers and maybe 10% fantasy adventure. I couldnt finish this one. The "adventure" gets lost completely because it is sprinkled in sparingly in between sessions of daddy issue therapy and some garbage about the protagonist fighting the urge for a foursome.

if you are looking for adventure, go elsewhere
