Historia
In the middle of the night, in a house on a quiet street in suburban Minneapolis, intruders silently murder Luke Ellis' parents and load him into a black SUV. The operation takes less than two minutes. Luke will wake up at The Institute, in a room that looks just like his own, except there's no window. And outside his door are other doors, behind which are other kids with special talents - telekinesis and telepathy - who got to this place the same way Luke did: Kalisha, Nick, George, Iris, and 10-year-old Avery Dixon.

Closer to the Steven King of old
Revisado: 05-25-22
I must admit, the endings for Steven King's novels have been hit-or-miss for me lately, but this reminds me of the good old days. The book moves to a rising climax and rolls to a solid ending.
The vocal performance by Santino Fontana was solid, not distracting, and modulated well. No problems there.

Brother Lawrence, also known as Nicholas Herman, was a devout French Carmelite friar of the 17th-century who’s aim in life was to simply love God with all his being and cultivate a sensitivity to the presence of God. The following audiobook is a compilation of conversations and letters by Brother Lawrence giving us insight into his personal relationship with God and his singular focus on union with the divine. The impact of this simple, yet powerful audiobook can no doubt be life transforming.

A solid reading of this marvelous text
Revisado: 09-08-21
The annotation mentioned was simply a braid introduction to the author of the text, Brother Lawrence. Apart from that, there is no great interpretation of or retranslation of the text into a modern vernacular.
At least, not that I noticed! Regardless, I highly recommend this audio presentation.

Historia
For thousands of years, there has been a cycle: a Demon King rises and conquers, and a Hero is reborn a hundred years later to defeat him. Each time, civilizations are ground to dust beneath the Demon King's hordes, but humanity has remained secure in the belief that a Hero of legend will always save them. There's just one slight problem. It's only been 23 years since the Demon King's latest rise, and this time, he's already conquered more than half the world. If humanity simply waits for the Hero's return, there may be no world left for him to save.

Especially for those in RPGs
Revisado: 05-20-20
This book seems to be written for those who are familiar with role playing games. If you are unfamiliar with terms like "leveling up", "experience points" and the like, this may not work for you. If, on the other hand, you take fantasy RPGs and literature SERIOUSLY, this isn't for you either.
Performance was great, story was charming and worth every minute. I'd love to see more by this author.

Yes, some dialogue is difficult to understand,...
Revisado: 04-13-20
The book was written with unusual wording to reflect the setting. not Bronson Pinchot's fault.
