Historia
The BFG is no ordinary bone-crunching giant. He is far too nice and jumbly. It's lucky for Sophie that he is. Had she been carried off in the middle of the night by the Bloodbottler, or any of the other giants - rather than the BFG - she would have soon become breakfast. When Sophie hears that the giants are flush-bunking off to England to swollomp a few nice little chiddlers, she decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her!

Lovely story. Awesome performance. Great sound effect that added to the imagination. I like happy endings and this has one.

Beautifully expresses the movement of our lives and inner being . We move from place to place physically and our emotions must travel over these unfamiliar terrains and find new meaning or pause or give up and travel back or forward to another. I loved it. The narration was moving as it gave voice to the chaos, hunger and ever search for a settling down from our journeys.

Historia
Out of Darkness, Shining Light is the captivating story of the loyal men and women who carried explorer and missionary Dr. Livingstone's body, his papers, and maps, 1,500 miles across the continent of Africa, so his remains could be returned home to England and his work preserved there. Narrated by Halima, the doctor's sharp-tongued cook, and Jacob Wainwright, a rigidly pious freed slave, this is a story that encompasses all of the hypocrisy of slavery and colonization - the hypocrisy at the core of the human heart - while celebrating resilience, loyalty, and love.

Real and Beautiful
Revisado: 10-18-19
I loved that it was written from the perspective of the persons who were there. For it gave a picture of the environment and its mixture of culture and greed, poverty, personalities and the feelings and frustrations of that everyday life. it was purely real and I could see it and feel it and identify with it.
