Historia
Kit Darling is a maid with a snooping problem. She’s the “invisible girl,” compelled to poke into her wealthy clients’ closely guarded lives. It’s a harmless hobby until Kit sees something she can’t unsee in the home of her brand-new clients: a secret so dark it could destroy the privileged couple expecting their first child. This makes Kit dangerous to the couple. In turn, it makes the couple—who might kill to keep their secret—dangerous to Kit.

Suspenseful and Thrilling without Gore

This was a wonderful story. It was incredibly entertaining.
I enjoyed all of the characters, or the mystery, and the flow of the story.

Wonderful story and narration

Two of my favorite narrators and a lovely story made this a really relaxing and uplifting listening experience. Though I was crying at the end, I felt better about the world after listening to it.

Good storyline and narration
Revisado: 10-25-22
This is the type of book I listen to when I want to just relax and be entertained. The plot was interesting, the main characters and their careers were well built out, the ancillary characters had well crafted storylines, and the narration was spot on.

Great story!
Revisado: 10-22-22
I can’t believe this book was included in my membership. It was really great, with only one annoying American accent to kind of get in the way of the narration. I would love a sequel to this book because her job is actually super interesting. The love story it was fun, but it would be nice to hear more about the main character’s development, more about Dmitri, more about the care home, more about the people who run the Italian deli, etc.

Cringe x 3 SPOILER
Revisado: 10-21-22
Cringe #1 - The storylines and resolutions for Pablo & Emma. They both wanted love and put themselves out there. Both of them were left alone at the end, though the “cheaters” ended up with a happy ending. If you like Nicholas Sparks, you’ll probably like this story. How depressing.
Cringe #2 - The accent the narrator used for Moses. It was borderline offensive.
Cringe #3 - The accent the narrator used for Gabriella. It hurt my ears.

Historia
Imagine if you made one little mistake when you were young and were punished for it for the rest of your life. Well, that’s what happened to Lydia (yes, that Lydia, the youngest Bennet sister from Pride and Prejudice), and she’s here to set the record straight. Hold on to your teacups and get ready for sophisticated (and a little bit naughty) hot takes and witty banter that’ll make you laugh—and think. We meet Lydia just as she is denounced by her family, exiled miles from home, and married to the rogue George Wickham, who seems to love all women...except his own wife.

great idea for a story and well-executed.

I really enjoyed listening to this story. I’m usually not a fan of short stories or novellas, but this was perfection. The story was great, the production was fun (the music!), and the performers were wonderful. Brava!

I have exactly 5 hours and 10 minutes to get from Boston to New York City or the professional opportunity of a lifetime disappears. My only travel option? The second to last seat on a discount bus. Across from the bathroom. Wearing last night’s clothes (don’t ask). All worth it if I can make it in time.

This was such a fun listen that I shared it with my mom and my teenagers. Everyone loved it.
I listened to this one after the first two in the series and I had to head them after I enjoyed this so much.

Ugh
Revisado: 01-05-22
I hated this book, returned it, and then accidentally bought it again months later because I forgot I had already hated & returned it! I started listening to it again and all of the things that i hated came flooding back. Now I’m stuck with it. I guess you can’t buy, return, buy, and return again.
Avoid! The characters are whiney, gluttons for punishment who go out of their ways to make their lives complicated and sad.
Plus, there is bad language and graphic sex scenes.
I usually love this narrator, but this wasn’t even her usual work.
Avoid!!

And when Jenny is welcomed into a rather unusual book club, life seems to finally be getting more interesting. Instead of reading, the members pledge to complete individual challenges before Christmas.

I enjoyed the unique setting, unique set of friends, unique food, and unique drama. The narrator is amazing. It was easy to listen to and enjoyable, but it would’ve been nice to have the closure last a bit longer at the end.
