Interesting, clichéd. But worth it.
Revisado: 05-17-21
The book is every bit as cheesy as the title suggests. And yet it's much deeper. There's a deep moral undergirding to this story that surpasses that of your usual werewolf story. It's the epic struggle of man VS the inner beast. And a tale of good VS evil. Worth the read. Though, maybe not worth a reread.

A touch of computer keys, a blast of heat, and suddenly the Murry twins, Sandy and Dennys, are gasping in a shimmering desert land. If only the brothers had normal parents, not a scientist mother and a father who experiments with space and time travel. If only the Murry twins had noticed the note on the door of their mother's lab: Experiment In Progress. Please Keep Out. But it's too late for regrets.

goddam this book rambled and meandered.
Revisado: 01-26-21
Good book. But, wow. It is a slow moving, fatty affair. Takes hours for any plot to evolve and everyone is at a stage in the story where they are all very unlikable. Still, all in all, a good book and addition to the series. Can't wait to finish this series.

Story is exceptional, but the timeline...
Revisado: 12-16-20
The Witcher series is wonderful. unique. brilliant. but Sapkowski's timeline is absolutely schizophrenic. it's incredibly hard to know what's going on because there's no thread of continuity. he jumps around from past to present to future with no regard for the reader and zero effort to explain.

Historia
"Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated." With her grandmother's taunt, Louise knew that she, like the biblical Esau, was the despised elder twin. Caroline, her selfish younger sister, was the one everyone loved. Growing up on a tiny Chesapeake Bay island in the early 1940s, angry Louise reveals how Caroline robbed her of everything: her hopes for schooling, her friends, her mother, even her name. While everyone pampered Caroline, Wheeze (her sister's name for her) began to learn the ways of the watermen and the secrets of the island.

Incredible Book, Stunning Performance
Revisado: 08-13-19
Katherine Patterson is one of the greatest writers I have ever had the pleasure of reading she tackles big issues with an unflinching, yet compassionate heart, and writes with such poetry and mastery that she sucks the reader in.
And Moira Kelly nailed the reading performance.
would recommend to anyone and everyone.

Peter Wiggin, Ender's older, more ruthless, brother, sees that any hope for the future of Earth lies in restoring a sense of unity and purpose. And he has an irresistible call on the loyalty of Earth's young warriors.

story was ok.

eh. it was a somewhat boring, but necessary transition book. the only reason it gets for stars is because a character who really needed to die already finally bit the dust.
