Historia
Hello again, I'm Eve Wakefield, and I refuse to accept that I'm in love with an intergalactic moth prince. No. I don't care how handsome he is, I don't want to marry him. I don't care if his parents have a sentient spaceship capable of eating entire planets. Love is earned, not swindled by pheromones. I'm now trapped on a ship with an adorable cyborg bodyguard, a golden toilet, and relationship issues. There's the prince I'm supposed to marry, the forest beast I fell in love with, and the never-wears-clothes police officer with tentacles.

Historia
July 25, 2234: The crew of the Adamura discovers the Anomaly. On the seemingly uninhabited planet Talos VII:a circular pit, 50 kilometers wide. Its curve not of nature, but design. Now, a small team must land and journey on foot across the surface to learn who built the hole and why. But they all carry the burdens of lives carved out on disparate colonies in the cruel cold of space. For some the mission is the dream of the lifetime, for others a risk not worth taking, and for one it is a desperate attempt to find meaning in an uncaring universe.

Too much noise to little story.
Revisado: 06-19-23
The constant pounding noise made the story very difficult to listen to. The constant pounding, and other noises distracted from Ms Hale’s excellent performance.

The story continues to worsen
Revisado: 10-05-22
Book one of this series, caught my attention, and I enjoyed it quite a lot. Of course, I purchased book 2, and later book 3, and in each case the story got worse. Book 1 kept my attention, books 2 and 3 were good to fall asleep too.

Who is reading this???
Revisado: 08-08-22
The narrator sounds like a synthetic reading machine. No emotion or inflection. I cannot really comment on the quality of the story because it’s so difficult to listen to the narrator.

Historia
It's a normal night in August. Literature professor Arne and artist Tove are with their children at the resort in Sørlandet. Their friend, Egil, a driver by day, is staying in a cabin nearby. Kathrine, a priest, is on her way home from a seminar; the journalist Jostein is out on the town; and his wife, Turid, who is an assistant nurse, has a night shift. Above them all, a huge star suddenly appears in the sky. No one, not even the astronomers, knows for sure what kind of phenomenon it is.

Difficult to follow the story.
Revisado: 02-10-22
Gave up after chapter 21. I could not keep track of the characters they seem to disappear as the story progresses. Never could make any sense out of the relevance of the star.

Historia
She used to work for the US government, but very few people ever knew that. An expert in her field, she was one of the darkest secrets of an agency so clandestine it doesn't even have a name. And when they decided she was a liability, they came for her without warning. Now she rarely stays in the same place or uses the same name for long. They've killed the only other person she trusted, but something she knows still poses a threat. They want her dead, and soon.

Fantastic
Revisado: 12-16-16
Where does The Chemist rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I didn't bother reading Stephenie Meyer's Vampire books because they hold no interest to me, but the book The Host caught my interest and I listened to it twice. The Chemist was even better than The Host. The characters were well developed and the story was riveting. Looking forward to her next book.

Boring
Revisado: 09-28-16
What disappointed you about Toward Yesterday?
Lack of character development. Weak plot. Weak science.
Did Alexander Cendese do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
I thought the presentation was good, there was just not enough material to work with in this novel.
