While content is what is needed for the consecration, the audible set up is not conducive to following the 33 Days format. The 33 days requires readings from different parts of the book, however, this audio version is read straight through rather than broken down day by day with all of the appropriate parts in one chapter, therefore it is cumbersome. I bought the audible version so I could listen with my daughter as we are doing the consecration together. We will have to use the paperback book and flip back and forth each day. The author speaks too fast, I need to slow it down.

Any additional comments?

The way the narrations are presented is very confusing. They switch between each other in the middle of a chapter and at times in the middle of a paragraph! They have occasionally missed words and complete sentences. For example, in the first chapter, page 5, paragraph 5, sentence 2 and 3 are left out. On page 9, paragraph 1, sentence 3 reads 'Thus the first white man was laid to rest in Vineland the Good'. The word 'white' was left out - that makes a huge difference! Native people surely had been buried there, Thorvald was the first 'white' man to be buried there not the first man. Little things like these are annoyances but don't affect the overall performance.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

She disappeared with the real Hannah Gruen and was replaced by an imposter.
The 'accents' by this narrator are so offputting, it's hard to follow the story. Let's see: Hannah Gruen, name sounds German, but her voice is....a caricature of a Southerner? So horrible. Glad audible has the return policy, this one is going back.

How could the performance have been better?

Different narrator. Or have the narratator just read and not try to 'act' different characters.

Was Nancy's Mysterious Letter worth the listening time?

not this version.

Any additional comments?

Does anyone at Audible read these comments? Are they effective for making changes?
